Chapter 3- Welcome to Special Abilities Academy

The giant mans grip was so tight that I barely could breathe.

Ava, me and the giant man appeared in a dim-lit room. The man set us down and tied us to a pole. Ava was on the other side of the pole, so I couldn't see her face.

"W-Where are we? What d-do you want with us?" I heard her say.

"Oh, relax, hotshot." The man said. "I'll be back in a few. The principal is coming soon."

Principal? Oh, No not another school!

"Hey, Ava?" I said,

"Yeah?"

"Why do you think they tied us to a pole, if this is...some sort of..school?"

I could hear her shrug. "I don't know."

The door to the dim-lit room swung open and a middle aged man emerged from it.

He flicked a light switch that made the whole room brighten up. There were boxes everywhere and filing Cabinets were over flowing. Papers were spread out on the ground.

"Hello. We've brought you here for a...very special..reason." The man smiled.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"The principal of The Special Abilities Academy. Or S.A.A." He said, quite happily.

I squinted my eyes. "Whatever you are trying to say, we are not 'Special'. We are both in Honors classes."

The principal chuckled. "Oh no no no. Nothing like that. You see, we've kept track of you since you were both merely 3 months old. Ava..she discovered her hidden ability first. Just because she is older. You, AnnaBeth will discover yours soon."

"Wait. Woa Woa. I don't have a 'hidden ability'. Those things are just fake."

"Then explain to me what Ava showed you this morning. Was that fake?"

I sadly shook my head. "No..I guess not."

He smiled. "Ok so let me get you untied and into my office for rules and such." He told us.

Walking towards the pole we were tied to, he took out a knife and cut both of our ropes.

"Why were we tied up in the first place?" I asked. He replied with, "Reasons."

He lead us into a Humungous room filled with numerous folders containing children records.

"Please, sit down." He motioned us to sit down in the 2 chairs that were in front of his desk.

We sat down. "Ok. So where do I start. Ah, here we go. S.A.A is a boarding school where students can learn how to control and master their abilities. The abilities are: Water manipulation, Ice manipulation, Electricity, Telekinesis, Earth, And many more. We've seen Ava has Water Manipulation. You, AnnaBeth, have to stay in the waiting dorm building. There you can wait and discover your ability. Any questions?"

I nodded. "So, there's more than just...um...Elemental..Powers?"

"Yes there is. There are different dorms..or.Lounges...or buildings..or whatever you want to call them, for each specific power. Out side to mortals, this looks like a CDC. But right now we are underground. Where Obviously my office is. Ava will be going to the Water manipulation dorm. As I said, you will be going to the waiting dorm." I frowned.

"Wait...Why 6th grade?" Ava asked. "I mean, why not wait until 8th grade....or when we actually can take care of ourselves??!!"

"The powers start to kick in once 11 or 12. Which so happens to be in 6th grade. But the ones with the special powers tend to get those later." The principal's watch beeped. "Oh. Times up. I'll have an older student escort you to your dorms. Have a nice day." And with that, he left the room.

A girl with brown wavy hair walked into the room with a smile on her face. "Hey." She said. Ava and I responded back with a wave. "I guess I'm taking you to y'all's buildings then." She began to walk out of the door. "Aren't you coming?"

We nodded and headed after her.

I caught up with the tour guide girl. "Hey..um..sorry to ask but uh..what's your power?" I asked her slowly.

She responded like it was nothing at all. "Oh, it's Ice Manipulation. Uh, don't get it confused with water. I can only freeze things."

"Oh..."

She took us up about 4 flights of stairs and finally we got to the campus. There were restaurants, car dealerships--probably for learning how to drive people--, about 10 buildings, a Spa, (The water manipulators a get to run the water part), and so many other buildings I couldn't see the name of.

"Ok. Well, you," She pointed to Ava. "Will be going right into That building over..there." She pointed towards a grey Circled building with about 5 or 6 floors. A lot of windows too. "That's the water manipulation dorm. Every morning, you go into your practice rooms and practice your ability for about 30 minutes. Then get ready and come to your classes which is in THAT building over there. As you can see its connected, but I suggest not going through that way. John Williams lives there. Do NOT, and I repeat DO NOT say yes if he asks you if you want some onion rings." Ava and I chuckled.

"Well, uh I guess this is goodbye until you find your ability.." Ava started. I ran up and hugged her. She then walked a few yards and entered her building. The girl started walking again.

"Hey. Two more questions. How old are you, and what's your name?" She smiled. "My name is Dana Walker. And I'm in 8th grade. 14 years old. You?"

"AnnaBeth Normal. 11 years old. 6th grade." Dana Chuckled. "I'm sorry, it's just...your...your last name!! It's normal but you aren't normal." I smiled.

"Here we are!!" She said. We had finally reached my building. It was circular like the water manipulation one, but shorter. About 2 or 3 floors. I thanked Dana and walked into the double shiny doors that lead inside of the waiting dorm.
