Hi guys! So this is my first Fan Fiction on this account. I hope you enjoy it. :)
----------------------------------------------
The Doctor felt the weakness consuming him, but still used all his strength to crawl to the TARDIS. The old time lord reached his hand out towards his blue box, grabbing the ice cold ground, and kept crawling. When he reached his time machine, he opened the doors and was greeted with a low rumble by the TARDIS. The time lord struggled, using his strength to walk towards the console. The Doctor looked down at his hands, glowing intensely. It was time. It was time to regenerate. It was time to end his twelfth regeneration. It was time to go. But he didn't want to go. Not just yet. He didn't want to go.
He didn't want to go.
Doctor!
Grandfather!
Susan!
He suddenly thought of Susan. His granddaughter. Oh how much he missed her. He missed her so much. He remembered the good memories they had. They both travelled together with... Ian and Barbara. Ian he thought to himself. That stubborn man. He was one of Susan's school teachers. He was such an arrogant man. The Doctor chuckled to himself. He remembered the two of them used to bicker a lot. And Barbara, another one of Susan's school teachers. She was such a kind hearted soul. So persistent and resilient. Susan changed his life entirely. Then her life changed entirely. He remembered... David. The man that Susan now loves. After the Dalek invasion, The Doctor left Susan with David. To live a life on earth. To live a life with David. Not with an silly old buffer like him.
The Doctor then suddenly remembered all the other people he travelled with.
All of his companions.
He missed them all.
He remembered seeing some of them a couple of times. Seeing them changed. Growing up. Starting a new different life with him out of the picture. Having a family.
He thought of his companions. Vicki, Steven, Ben, Polly, Jamie, Victoria, Zoe, Brigadier, Liz, Jo, Sarah Jane, Harry, Leela, Romana, Adric, Nyssa, Tegan Vislor, Peri, Grace, Rose, Jack, Martha, Donna, Amy, Rory, River, Clara, Bill, Nardole...
...Missy.
The Doctor felt a tear rolling down his cheek.
Missy, his oldest friend in the universe. Of course, she changed. He always knew she changed. He couldn't stop denying it. All those years in the vault. Teaching her how to be good. Those times when she needed him the most, he'd be there for her. Protecting her body for a thousand years. It really did paid off.
She did changed.
He was proud of her.
Now she's gone.
A sudden pain then consumed the old Time Lord. He felt the regeneration energy in him. It was time. It was time to regenerate. He thought of changing. He didn't want to change again. Be he had to. The change was already swallowing him whole. The regeneration energy burst out of him. He screamed in pain. Still in hesitation on change, he still let the regeneration energy take him. He felt his face changing. He felt his body changing.
Voices of his past regenerations echoed in his mind.
It drove him mad, causing him to shout and scream.
The voices over lapped each other and gotten louder
Hello? Who's there? Hello?
What are you doing? No, stop, you're making me giddy...!
A tear, Sarah Jane? No, don't cry. While there's life, there's...
It's the end... but the moment has been prepared for.
Feels different this time...
Change, my dear. And it seems not a moment too soon.
Come on Ace, we've got work to do
WHO. AM. I!
Will it hurt?
I just wanted to say you were fantastic.
I don't want to go...
I will always remember, when The Doctor was me.
He scream in pain. He screamed in agony. The TARDIS shook around him. Regeneration energy shot out of him like blazing fire out of a torch. Everything was burning around him. It hurt. It hurt physically. It hurt mentally. It felt like an everlasting pain. It felt like it was never going to stop. Then...
It stopped.
It stopped.
The pain.
It stopped.
...
...
...
The regeneration process was complete.
The Time Lord took his time to regain his breath. He then stumbled across the TARDIS to find a mirror. He looked through every drawer, every closet, until he found what he was looking for. The old time lord lifted the big mirror and stared at himself for a minute.
Focusing at every feature.
Her face.
Her body.
"Oh my..." The Doctor said to herself in shock.
"The winds of change have blown."
