Chapter 6

Middy's POV

That obnoxiously loud and annoying school bell rang, signalling it was the end of the school day , THANK LORD

I collect up my things , making sure I had everything as I look through my bag. After checking I did , I rushed out of school , ignoring the sneers and taunts from the bullies .

I arrived at home , rushing upstairs and putting my stuff away in their rightful places , thankfully I didn't have any homework to do anyway

I was about to rush out the front door before being yanked back by my Dad

"Where do you think you're going young lady " he says , his face showing he was cross

"I-I was going outside, t-to go and explore a-around town .." I can't help but be scared by my Dad...there's just something about him that I can't quite put my finger on, that's just intimidating to me...but what..

He gradually let go of his death grip on my arm and looked down at me

"You better be home early...or else .." I nodded frantically, saying a meekly bye to him and Mum before bolting it out the door and flying through the sky like an arrow

I landed , almost stumbling over but thankfully managing to keep myself balanced

"Hey Ana I'm h-" I stopped mid sentence when I noticed she wasn't there ...she must be here...right

Worried had started to fill my brain as I thought of the possibilities . What if she comes back with others to beat me up and stuff...what if she was taken away...what if she stood me up...w-what if I didn't arrive soon enough what I-

"Past Middy ! Up here " I look up , seeing a pair of eyes meet mine.

I flutter up to the canopy of the tree , resting on the leave covered branches

"Heya-a Ana...why a-are you up here-e ..N-not th-hat there's-s anything wrong-g with b-being up here !" I said frantically, hoping I didn't offend her or anything

"Middy it's ok , don't worry . And well I'm hiding..."

"From w-what..?"
