Siana's POV:
I wake up to someone shaking me. When my eyes adjust to the light, I see Justine, and Holly there.
"Hey, we gotta leave soon" Holly says she whispers. I start to sit up rubbing my healing head. I was so confused for a second, and my brain just got up so I can't think straight.
"W-What? Why?" I ask.
"I'll explain on the way, now you two have to choose your weapons" Justine says.
She helps me out of bed, something bad must be happening because I've never seen them so serious, especially Holly.
Justine leads us out of the Bunker to a the main building of the base, when she opens the door I see complete darkness. When I walk in though it lights up and there are hundreds of swords, bows, shields, daggers, guns, all of it.
Holly easily finds her weapon, a Imperial Gold bow with a gold quiver, with Celestial Bronze arrows. I have a harder time finding the right thing for me, I know I definitely want a sword because of what I was able to do with it during Capture the flag.
Nothing really is standing out to me, as I am starting to loose hope I finally come across a long sword with a firm silver handle leading up to a black blade. It wasn't my style but all the others didn't feel the best in my hand so I decided to go with this one. We come outside, and everyone is gone probably at breakfast.
"Let's go" Justine says. We pass the tall tree, and there standing is Jason. Uh oh Jason, we're screwed.
"About time you guys got here" he says and smiles. I look at him confused, is he going to turn us in? Or is he going to let us go?
"Don't worry guys, he's coming with us" Justine says.
Thank goodness, for a second I was really worried we would get caught.
"So the nearest train station is like 10 miles from here so if none of you are air sick we can fly there" Jason says."Good, Siana and I can fly together" Justine says. I nod shyly I don't know why but I usually am pretty open, you can ask any school I've gone to and they'll tell you that.
"Wait what do you mean fly?!" Holly says earning a shush from all of us.
"Jason is son of Aureole the hero of the winds, he can control the winds and their directions, Aureole also is my father but we had different mothers. As his children we get his abilities to control winds" Justine explains. Now that I had a better understanding of this I grab Justine's hand, and we rise up, she not wearing wings or anything, she really was controlling the winds!
We start flying forward, and it's amazing! Way better than flying on an airplane. The wind blowing in your face, the tiny cities below.
It had felt like only five minutes before we land by a small town. We obviously land a little away from the town so we won't have to deal with suspicion.
As we walk into town, we all had packed out stuff in backpacks so it basically looked like we were going to summer school or something like that, and nobody looked very suspicious.
We buy one way tickets to Los Angles the trip is almost two and a half days. I wish we could have flown the whole way but Justine said using too much energy is bad for them, and Shadow could track them if they use too much.
As we get onto the train, our train car is basically empty so I decide to ask what this whole thing is about.
"Hey, why did we even have to leave the base" I say as I sit down next to Holly.
"So I had this vision last night, and Shadow is coming for the camp but mainly us, so we had to go because we were putting the base in danger, also we have to get this Sword of the Shadows to be able to defeat him." She says.
"Oh, he's really that powerful?" I ask curiously.
"Yeah, and he had this thing, I'm not sure exactly weather it's a drink, or a injection, or what but if it gets in your system he can control you" she says. I shiver at the thought of being controlled I hate things like hypnosis because of being controlled.
As the train starts moving Holly tells me everything about her vision from last night, and it was terrible. If this was actually Shadow he's very cruel. I couldn't believe that Justine was right about there being spies at camp, but Holly tells me not to trust Justine fully yet.
I can barely hear Justine, and Jason talking in the seat behind us. I look behind us, Jason is looking out the window probably thinking, and Justine is reading a book.
"What book is that?" I ask. She looks at me, and then taps Jason's shoulder.
"Jason would you mind sitting by Holly for a minute?" She asks.
"No, not at all" he says. He moves up to the seat with Holly, and I sit with Justine."So the book what's it called?" I ask.
"The Dark Light Strikes , I stole it from my mom's library when I was little, at first I thought all of this was fiction when I was like 11, but after I joined Base ARF , I read over the book, and realized all of the information on the Gods, history, good and evil, all of it is 100% true" she says."So?" I ask trying to get her to the point, it can't be that important.
"So, I'm looking it over to see if I can find any information on Shadow or anything to help us" She says.
I stare at the book, and all of the letters are in random order almost like a code.
"How can you read that, all the letters are random" I ask.
"That's just how the book was made, I could crack a few of the chapters but they are just about history of the gods, the villain chapters are hard enough, even the smartest kids in the base couldn't figure it out" I say.I realize if there's anyway to crack this code it could help us defeat Shadow.
"Hey why don't you take a break from all of this stuff, and I'll try to figure it out" I say."Um okay" she says as she lays her head back on the seat. I could see that she needed it as she drifted into slumber.
I start on the first page, and quickly go through the pages. There have to be at least 500 pages inside this book, but if I can figure out the code from the table of contents I might be able to figure out the chapters we need.
I quickly scramble through the chapters that Justine has figured out. There is no common pattern in these codes. I scroll one chapter at a time all of it in no language I've ever seen before.
I scroll to the 14th chapter, and it's the same thing. I put my hand to my head in frustration, and look at the front of the seat, and that's when I saw something unbelievable, there was never code, in fact this chapter wasn't even the real chapter, and I've found the real one.
Jason's POV:
I laughed as Holly told me all of the pranks they had gotten into. I was starting to question if any of these were true but I still laughed, why? I have no idea. Something about Holly makes a smile go to my face, my heart starts beating faster without me realizing it. Am I falling for her? No way.
