Her eyes immediately opened, she tried to pull away but her body betrayed her. She was frozen, her lips kissing him back. She felt mixed feelings of betrayal and longing for the kiss.
She wanted him to kiss her for years, and gave up. But in reality, this was what she needed right now. Although he chose the timing poorly, as she ugly cried.
As they pulled away, their cheeks flushed. They began to laugh. Surprisingly she felt instantly better, but her love for her professor never wavered. She chose what was easy, instead of what was right.

It has been a few days since Hermione broke down and was kissed by Ron, and was now officially boyfriend and Girlfriend. Lavender stared at her with Hatred. Harry and Ginny knew it was a matter of time. Hermione and Ron have been walking around Hogwarts, holding hands and flaunting their love for one another. Hermione truly believed she loved Ron, and she did.
Yet she didn't know there was someone she would love more, someone who was taken for a unknown reason. Yes, she was still sad to see Professor Snape with someone else. It was much easier though since she had Ron and her friends by her side.
Hermione and Ron walked into the great hall for breakfast, holding hands and stuck to one another. Both taking a seat across from Ginny and Harry.
"Good morning." Said Hermione in a happy tone she hadn't heard from herself in a while.
"Mornin' everyone." Ron replied before giving Hermione a loving peck on the lips.
Harry and Ginny looked at each other, smiling.
"Good morning." They said in unison.
"Still in dating Bliss?" Added Ginny, after greeting her friend and brother with Harry.
"Yes. Much so." Hermione replied turning to Ron, a amount of Longing in her eyes.
At the teachers dinner table, Severus and Gwen sat at the middle one with the Headmaster and Professor McGonnagal. They seemed like they also were in dating Bliss, but to be truthful to himself. Severus still didn't like Gwen romantically, he never did. He had to make it look convincing.
As he was talking to Gwen, he glanced over at Hermione with who Severus liked to call in his head. "A Ginger dunderhead". Looking in Love, stupid Weasley. He could feel what he felt when he saw Potter and Lily together when they began dating. It was the feeling of Jealousy. He was afraid to loose the girl he came to love and cherish, all because of a secret reason that Albus hadn't mentioned to him. He had to keep his facade, he just had too. So he continued to socialize with Gwen as he watched Ms. Granger and Weasley. Imagining what it would be like to place him in Azkaban for cozying up to the girl he loved.
