During the next couple of weeks I was happy
The happiest I had ever been
It was just us
We would talk and play
To everybody else we were just regaining our friendship
To everybody else I was just regaining my trust for you
But to me, to us it was so much more we weren't rebuilding our old relationship
We were building a new one
We were no longer just friends we built a deeper connection
I thought I had finally got what I wanted actual love
And I was so damn happy
