After all of my classes of boredom, and of course lunch. I head to the detention room. Which is in the top floor in the way back. Took me forever to find and asking a lot of teachers. I asked about five and they all gave me confused looks, like I looked like a good kid, not someone who got into detention for no reason. Well for being "late."
My hand started to shake as I open the cold, metal door handle. I slowly creak the door open and saw about 25 people in the classroom. Every other person there gave a hidden smirk and looked down at there desk. I walked in and saw no teacher but the students seem pretty calm. I expected worse. I recognized a couple faces: Matt and Almi. Almi surprised me, I wonder what she did that what from my has so bad? I dismissed the thought from my head and continued scanning for a seat in peace. Apparently, the only seat available was the one behind Matt. I roll my eyes and take the seat behind him. He didn't even turn around or glance at me or anything. Which surprises me, actually. I figured he would turn around and try to annoy me the whole time. Ugh. I just want to go home, do my homework, visit Daniel and maybe, just maybe go to the party with Gwen. How bad can it be? I'll go and say hi, and leave. If even I'm allowed to go. My parents are probably furious with me that I got a detention and broke out of the hospital. It surprises even me that I even did that. What have I turned into? What happened with the happy, good girl I used to be? Everything has changed now, and it is all my fault.
I sigh and look up from my phone, I texted my mom that I got detention, but she didn't reply. It just makes me feel more guilty inside. And I have to deal with this in the next 45 minutes of who-knows-whats-going-to-happen. What does happen in detention? Quietness? Not at my school, at least for a while. It is always loud here, even if you are alone, on the top floor, and everyone is in the basement. That loud.
I noticed that Matt shifted his seat so it was facing me. What does he want now? I already told him I wasn't going to the party. Why can't he bother other girls that want to be bothered? I put my phone in my pocket and took a deep breath. Preparing for what comes next. "Hello Amanda." he said with a smile. Usually I smile back, to him? Not so much. "Hi." I said bluntly, mentally praying that he will just go away.
"Are you sure you're not coming to my party?" he continued. I shrugged, not knowing what to say. What I really want is just to relax, and not have to deal with all the drama in my life. "Why did you change?" he asked quickly. I what? Changed? Well excuse me mister, but your part of it, and part of "change" are you talking about? As though he could read my mind, he turned around and slumped back in his chair. I feel like I said that out loud? Did I? Or is this some part of a prank. I sighed again and plug in my ear buds and listen to my music.*45 minutes later*
"Class dismissed." The teacher said. FINALLY! I'm out of here! I burst through the door with delight and start running down the halls to get to the main entrance. I ignored the teachers who told me to slow down. Instead I went even faster I'm so happy to be out of there. Especially to be away from Matt. Once I am out of the school and into the parking lot, I stop to take a breath. I never usually run, and i'm not that athletic too. It surprises me that I could even run.
Gwen should be here in a minute, hoping it would take less, because the last thing I need is to be here any longer. I saw her red small car pull into the drive of the school. I took another big breath and ran up to her car and jumped in just as it was parked. "Wow, you look like you just ran a marathon." Gwen started. "You okay?" She handed me some water and drank the whole thing before her car got back on the main road. "I'm fine." I said. "So...we are going to my house?" I asked.
"Of course." she replied.
"To persuade my parents if I can go to the party?"
"Yep."
Please god have my parents say no.~A.N~
