The Best Thoughts

Showers are great. They give me the best thoughts. Unless it's the reminder all my friends from 1st-5th grade have betrayed me.

I was friends with all the now-popular kids.

Jaxon was my best friend in 2nd grade and Ariel was my best friend since like kindergarten.

What hurts the most though, was somewhere in 5th grade, Ariel had found her voice and had become our music teacher's favorite student. Not to mention, Ariel found her artistic style, and had become our art teacher's favorite student. Ariel also found that she was athletic, and became the P.E teacher's favorite student.

And I was always that potato that was skinny and no one wanted.

And Sorn grew tall over the Summer into 5th grade. Sorn was also my friend, we did everything together. Until we didn't. I remember one year, she invited me to a giant slumber party at her big mansion-like house. I was out-casted. See, Skylar had made a giant pillow fort, and allowed all the other 15-somethin' girls into it, except me. O I slept out of it.

And cried.

However, a true friend of mine, Alexis, came out with me. Which caused all the other girls to come out and join us. So... fuck you Skylar. Still not over it even though it's been at least five years.

Sorn was also athletic.

If I were to name all my old friends, all would become the popular group I see 5 days of the week.

Which brings me to the thought...

Damn, I was the popular girl in elementary school.

Was there a thing as the popular girls in elementary school?

Not that 3rd grade me would think that, no, 3rd grade me probably thought we were just all friends and we loved each other and we were going to be together forever.
