CHAPTERTWENTY-FIVE

~ McKayla'sPOV ~

I bursted up through the cold water. Then went back under to get the hair out of my face. After I had come back up I looked around to see who did it.

Taylor was standing there laughing his head off. I put my hand up for him to help me out, and he took it...like an idiot. I pulled him in, his laughing turning off instantly as he comprehended what was going on.

That look made everything that I had just done ten times better.

He came up from below.

"Okay... I'll give you that one." He said smiling, showing his amazing braces that drove me insane.

"That's right you will." I said trying to sound like a bad ass.

"You're cute when you're like that." he said. I guess trying to act bad ass didn't work. Then I smiled to his comment. Why did he have to be so Goddamn cute?

It was really hard to look at someone I've had a crush on, but think I would never meet them, because now that I have, it's so much harder to stay away.

But I'm going to try to stick to my philosophy, because I need to wait until I know someone loves me...

and I won't get hurt again.

~ Taylor's POV ~

She looked so damn beautiful. I like her a lot, but I don't know if she's ready to be back in a relationship after Cameron.

But I can wait.

"Who wants to play chicken?" Cameron asked. McKayla grabbed my arm right away.

"You're my partner... I'm kicking that bitch's ass."

I loved it when she talked like that.

The match began... and all I could think was... damn... she's a lot stronger than she looks.

~McKayla's POV ~

She was really weak. She had no control over me at all. After messing around with her for a little bit, then I pushed her the rest of the way.

I loved it. Showing her who was better.

After her and Cameron, we had to face a couple other groups. We only lost to the Jack's. Which I thought was pretty good.

All together it was a pretty good day. I had so much fun. After the pool I decided to go and dance a little. So I slipped on a pink sports bra and Aeropostale sweatpant capris. I threw my hair up in a messy ponytail and grabbed my stereo for my iPod.

As I was opening up my door I found Taylor standing there.

"Hey... where you going?" He asked looking at my outfit.

"Nowhere." I said.

"Oh really?" He asked, with a weird smirk on his face. "Why do I highly doubt you're going "nowhere"?" He said putting quotations around the nowhere.

"I don't know... why do you?" I said trying to play it off cool.

"Because you're in your sports bra, you have your stereo, and you look like you're going to workout." He said counting each one with his fingers.

"Maybe I am going to workout." I said... seeming like it would be a plausible excuse.

"Well then I'm coming with you. I love working out." He said with a wide grin. Dammit.

"The problem with that is that... um... I'm not working out." I didn't know what else to say.

"Then what are you doing?" he asked. Sometimes I wondered how his curiosity could be so big. But that's something I liked about him.

"Do you really need to know?" I asked seeing if I could get out of trying to answer it.

"If you don't tell me, I'll probably follow you." Well if that's how it was going to be then I'd have to tell him.

"To dance." I started pushing past him to go for the danceroom.

"Wait you dance? I'm coming with you." He said following after me down the hallway.

"Yes I do... and why are you coming?" I asked as he kept his stride beside me.

"Because I have to see you dance to believe it." He said making it really hard. I stopped, causing him to stop as well. He looked at me waiting for an explanation of something.

"I don't like dancing in front of people." I said walking slower now.

"Why?" He is very persistant.

"It's something I do for myself in my free time and when I'm stressed." I stated.

"So you're stressed?" he asked assumingly.

"No I just have some free time." I. said as I turned through the doors of the danceroom.

"Oh." He said standing by the door as I set up my music.

"So... are you going to leave... or what?" I asked looking at him.

He shrugged his shoulders."I think I'll stay." he said with an adorable smirk.

I guess I had to just block him out.

I started up my music, and stood in front of the mirror, closing my eyes. I took a deep breath and let the music flow through me. Every bass drop. Every scratch. Every slide. Dancing to the first couple songs... knowing all of the rhythm.

I jumped as I felt arms around my waist.

I looked in the mirror to find Taylor staring back at me.

"That..." he paused... and opened his eyes wide. "was amazing."

Being in his arms felt so right... but I wasn't ready. I pulled out of his grasp.

"Taylor... I think I should tell you this now..." I took a deep breath." I'm not ready to be back in a relationship yet... and I want to get to know the people way more before I consider getting into a relationship with them." I said letting out a long breath.

"I totally understand... but just to let you know... I will let you know anything about me."
