Alphas All The Way Down

Chapter Three : Truth.

"Ava." I whispered under my breath, voice trembling.

On the verge of a panic attack I snuck towards the screams, before diverting to the kitchen. If I had to fight, I was better off with a weapon. Quiet as I possibly could be I retrieved four knives of various lengths, all of which were extremely sharp.
Flinching, my sister let out another scream. I couldn't just abandon her.
I always knew we would be attacked due to our royal status. I just thought it would be when my father died.
Knowing I would be taken down quickly I silently ran through the secret entrance.

Suppressing a fit of coughs, I turned on my flashlight and looked around. The narrow corridor was crawling with jet black spiders as big as my hand. Cobwebs stretched over the walls which seemed to eerily wave at me as I passed. Shivers ran through my body as my feet stomped across the ice like floor, the castle always creeped me out at how large it was. What was the need for all of the rooms we had when only three people lived here?
Pressing an ear to the extremely thin door I overheard my mother pleading for my sisters life to be spared before a strangled gurgle silenced her.
Grunting, I clawed at my chest. My mother was dying, her initials over my heart bleeding and burning away to nothing. One of my soulmates had already gone.
Deciding it was time to save my sister and my brother if he hadn't run, I kicked down the door and burst through. Ava screamed and peed herself a little from fright. Looking over to her I almost cried aloud. Her face and clothes were smeared with blood as she held our mum. Sobs wracked her small frame as her doe eyes had enlarged to the size of golf balls. Tear tracks stained her face and some of her hair laid in clumps by her feet.
Anger clouded my vision as I took in the fresh bald patches on her scalp.
They would pay. Turning over I almost recoiled in shock and horror. My brother, father and various other men and women stood smirking at me and my sister.
How? How could my brother do this to us?
I always knew he had darkness in him but not as extreme as this.

"Why?" I screamed as I pinned him to the wall, my vision turning red.

"Oh, Magnus. You're an abomination! Your kind always promises a good era, yet death follows your like a lost dog!"

"My kind? You're my twin!"

"Aren't you sadly mistaken. You see, we aren't even related. My blood, it's poisonous to you one drop and you will be on the floor screaming in pain. You're a true alpha Magnus and me? I'm one of the only species that can kill you - a fire-walker."

"Why are you lying?" I screamed my voice close to breaking.

He let out a psychotic laugh that chilled me to the core.

"So now, I'm going to kill you and let our darling sister watch and then she'll join you in hell."

Hands trembling, I let go of my brothers shirt. I watched as he cut open his wrist and sadistically grin at me. He had no idea. He had no idea how much I had trained myself for this moment. He had no idea that he was the one my little sister would have to watch die.
Laughing coldly, I massacred them all.
I started with my father. I grabbed him by the neck and threw him like a rag doll into the small crowd of people. Groaning in pain, he tried to crawl away but I was too quick. I grasped him hair in one hand and lifted his head until his eyes met mine.

"I've been waiting for this a long time."

With that, he spat in my face and grinned.

"And I've waited for Amy to die for a long time."

Letting my claws burst free, I rammed them through his fatty lower stomach. Screaming in pain, he started to beg for me to kill him yet I slowly dragged my claws up his body, making it as painful as I possibly could. I was thoroughly enjoying this moment. Burning his screams of agony onto your brain, I smirked at him sweating and bleeding profusely and I quickly slashed through his heart. Dropping him, I turned to the crowd of people who looked at me with fear and a slight bit of admiration.
