"Heather where were you?" Blake asked harshly when I got home.

"Does it matter?" I asked back.  One of the important things you learn from a gang is that you always answer a question with another question when your being interrogated.

"It does matter, because our rivals know who you are!  You can't go around in public on your own!" Blake nearly screamed at me.

I hate it when Blake screams at me.  Although he annoys me a lot, he's still my brother.  And I just hate it when he's mad at me.

I ran upstairs to my room and slammed the door behind me.  I then opened the window behind me and crawled out.  Then I ran into the woods, not knowing where I was going.

Eventually I reached the other end of the woods and I was in town.

I knew I must've had a look of anger or fear or something on my face because someone asked, "Heather what's wrong?"

I turned around and saw that Lacey was going shopping with her older sister, Eden.

"Blake is giving me lectures that I don't wanna hear. He thinks I can't handle myself, but I can!"

Eden then said, "well of course he's gonna lecture you for running away through the woods like that. He's your brother and he's worried about you. You should go home Heather. I'll drive you."

Without any other choice, I got in the back seat of the car with Lacey. When The car finally reached the house, I got out and headed inside. Blake was waiting for me when I got to my room. And this time, I could tell that I definitely pissed him off.

Blake took two steps toward me and slapped me on the left cheek.

"What is your problem?" I screamed at him. My cheek was burning and it felt like it was on fire.

"Where the hell were you?!?" He growled in a low voice.

I said nothing and just stared at him. We had a staring contest for about three whole minutes till I broke the stare by looking away.

Blake then left my room, and I went to bed, having a good night's sleep about that guy I met earlier. I don't even know his name, and I'm already having dreams about him.  What could this mean?

"Heather, wake up!" Blake shouted.

When he shouted that I got up immediately and fell off the bed.  My arm hurt from hitting the night stand, but that would be a problem for another time.  Blake's voice sounded serious.

"What is it?" I asked.  I looked at the clock and it was only three forty eight in the morning.

"We have company, the Red Fangs are here," he said with worry in his voice.

I grabbed my gun off my dresser and ran outside.  The Red Fangs were our rivals along with the Stealing Puranas.  Our allies are The Dank Killers, and Black Sharks.

The Red Fangs are lead by Jaxon.  I've only met him once, and if it wasn't for my brother, I'd be dead.

There were three guys standing in front of our house.

"What do you want?" Blake asked coolly.

"Jaxon wants Heather dead.  That way your gang won't keep going on," said one of the men.  Then he aimed his gun at me and shot.  I dove down, and shot at another guy.

The bullet hit him in the leg, and one of Blake's men came and finished the job. Blake then told me to run through the house and put back into the woods, towards town.

Without thought, I did exactly what he said and ended up in town. I then knew I was safe and could calm down.

I walked towards a coffee shop and got a white chocolate mocha. I sat down at a table across another random guy since it was the last seat there.

"Well this is a nice surprise," said the guy across me.

I looked up at him and realized it was the same guy I crashed into yesterday.

"Yeah," I responded. I then took a long sip of coffee. I felt my cheeks turn red, how am I blushing if I don't even know his name?

I looked up and saw that he was watching me. We kept eye contact for what felt like forever.

Then he spoke, "my name is Jake Vico, just thought you might wanna know that."

Jake. That's such a wonderful name. Vico is a strange last name though. Heather Vico has an interesting ring to it. I just don't know if that interesting would be good or bad.

"Heather Jenn," I say quietly. I couldn't believe it. I was being shy! I'm never shy! Why am I so shy around this dude? What is Jake doing to me?

"So, do you want me to walk you home?" Jake asked me.

I was about to say yes, but then I remembered what was at home.

"How about we just go to the movies or something. Or we can go shopping, I'm running out of my sparkly blue mascara," I said with excitement.

He looked at me a little oddly and offered to take me to the movies. I agreed, because I knew that I forced him to go make up shopping with me, then he wouldn't be my friend anymore.

"Are you new in town?" I ask him as we're getting closer to the theater.

"I'm not new to the town, I'm just gonna be new to the high school. I used to go to a private school, but it closed down due to graffiti artists."

I remember the graffiti people. They kind of recently got arrested. But before they got arrested, they would anonymously spray paint nudes and curse words onto building walls. They did that to the private school too, but instead of spray painting the outsides, they spray painted the insides with permanent stuff. I don't like those people thought because once they spray painted a huge drawing of a cock, covering my whole front door. We had to get it replaced.

"Do you know your way around the high school?" I asked him.

"Not really, can I get a tour after the movie?" He responded to me.

My body was bursting with excitement. When I said yes to him, it was hard to not scream the words and dance around.

We watched a really bad murder mystery, and I say it was bad because someone from the front row kept shouting every five seconds about what would happen next.

After the movie, we went back to Jake's house.

Or what was left of Jake's house.
