"Heather look out!"  I recognized the voice as my brothers, Blake.

I turned around and pulled the trigger at someone who was charging at me.  Blake was next to me in seconds, taking out two other guys.

Four of Blake's men helped, and our rival gang was destroyed.

My name is Heather Jenn.  I am 14 years old, and an orphan. My mother died of cancer when I was only 6.  My father was shot twice in the heart and died immediately when I was 11.  Blake became the gang leader when he was 14, now he's 17.

Blake walked up to me.

"Heather!" He scolded.  "You have to keep your eyes open.  If you don't, someone will shoot you in the back of the head."

I'm part of a gang called the Road Knights.  The gang was created seven generations back.  The first born child would always become leader of the gang, the second born would always produce the heir.  That was me.  I'm the second born.

Which meant that no matter what, I had to have at least two children.

Blake drove me in his motorcycle, back to our house.  When I say house, I mean mansion.  The place is four stories and very wide.  We have a pool in the back along with many other things. It's true, gang leaders are rich.

My phone buzzed from my back pocket. I saw that it was a call from May, one of my best friends from school. I answered the call.

"Hey Heather, wanna hang? My parents are out of the house and they said I could invite all my friends over," May said excitedly.

"Sure thing bestie, I'll be there in ten," I responded.

Then she hung up the phone.

"Your not going anywhere till I teach you how to look out for enemies!" Blake said crossing his arms.

"We can do that later, but right now, I'm gonna go have some fun with my life," I said back and ran off.

Blake shouted behind me, "if you get killed, it's not my fault!"

I rolled my eyes. Blake was always so serious and so annoying. I finally reached May's house, and realized I was the second to last one there.

The girls who were there were obviously, May, then there was Violet and Sarah. Lacey I saw across the street, almost here.

Once Lacey got here, I led everyone into the house. Every group always has that one person who seams to be the leader. Well, that's me. They all follow me around everywhere like I'm some kind of goddess. Not that I minded, it's nice being the lead. The leaders never get kicked out of friend groups.

"So Heather, have you heard that I have a boyfriend now?" Sarah asked.

"No way! Who is it?" I asked.

She blushed and responded, "Robert Sattloff!"

Robert has been Sarah's crush for a while now.

"Omg, so Sarah White will now be Sarah Sattloff. In a couple years, but you always want to plan ahead. And that reminds me, girls Sarah wins. She was the first out of the four of you to get a boyfriend," I said to them.

I've had many ex's.  And at the moment, I've had only ex's.  I'm not with someone right now.

"Omg! The brownies are done!"  May squealed.

Everyone decided to move to the kitchen to eat brownies.

"So Heather, how's all the gang business going?" Lacey asked.

"Don't say that so loudly!" I scolded. "But it's going well, the Road Knights are still undefeated on the street," I responded to her first question.

"How's Blake?" Violet asked and giggled.

Violet always had this huge crush on Blake. It was disgusting. I mean, Blake is hot, but he's my brother!

"He's doing great Violet, he's really happy. With another girl," I said with sass on the last part.

Blake is three years older than us. Well for two months, he's only two years older, but whatever.

"Maybe I should send flowers over to his house," she said.

"Blake hates flowers," I answered immediately.

Everyone stared at me. I kept talking, "Blake likes rocks not flowers. Flowers die, rocks don't."

"I'll just send him some chocolates," Violet said.

"Chocolates are too bland for Blake," Sarah said. "You gotta give him something he'll want.  Like how about your lower section."

"Sarah!" Violet screeched.

"I'm not wrong," Sarah said laughing.

"Oh my god you guys, just give Heather some chocolates and she'll give them to Blake," Lacey said.

May chimes in, "no she won't, she'll eat the chocolate, have you ever met Heather?"

I gave them a fake guilty smile, and they all laughed.

"Don't worry Violet, I'll put in a good word for you," I assured her.

All of a sudden, the front door opened.

"May I'm home!" I heard her mother shout.

"Hide!" May whisper screamed.

"I thought you said we were allowed here," Lacey whispered with panic.

"I lied," May whispered with a sheepish grin.

I chucked, May lied about everything.

"Come on, we can sneak out the back, into the forest, then you all can head home.  I'll go to town," I whispered to them all.

"Why aren't you going home?" Lacey asked with concern in her voice.

"My brothers pissed at me and I don't wanna talk to him at the moment," I responded.

Violet giggled and I rolled my eyes.

My friends obviously know that I'm part of gang, but their not part of the gang.

May's mom started coming upstairs and that was our cue to use the other stair case. I got to the bottom first and opened the back door. I waited till everyone else was out, till I slid out myself. Then I took off into the woods.

Once I reached the other side, I was finally in town. I decided I'd buy some more clothes for school, because why not? If me and my brother didn't share a budget, I'd almost be as rich as him. And he'd be a billionaire.

I was finished checking out all the tops that I got, and I left the store.

Right when I got out the door, I crashed into someone and spilled all my stuff.

"I'm sorry," the guy said. I looked up and standing there was a guy about a year older then me that I've never seen before.

"It's ok, clumsy me," I said looking him straight in the eye.

All of a sudden my head felt like it was spinning. Was I sick?

"I have to go," I said quickly and made my way back home with a huge smile on my face.
