I walked away from the people. They would see me again. Sooner or later, I would run away to that bridge and hide from all humanity. I ran - as far as my four legs could carry me into the forest. This is the place I consider home.
This is my home-away-from-home in truth. I can't really talk to the animals, but I can understand them. I... sort of...know what they're thinking. The brown rabbit that hopped around in the field was currently in a good mood.
Though, my eyes widened slightly as the rabbit jumped into my lap. The animals were all different, but all had their problems. That was what brought them together. That was why they never argued.
The smaller ones at least.

I was trying to keep quiet when an odd noise struck my ears. It was a wheezing sound that made all the animals in the clearing scatter. I stood up on all fours, ready to stand my ground. The birds set of their alarms and my tail twitched. A big blue box materialized and I got ready to lunge at who- or what- ever came out. I growled as a man with a long trenchcoat looked down at me from the call box.
"Oh come on!" He said in exasperation.
"I'm not going to harm the forest! I'm trying to help it Little Wolf." The man explained.
You're rather good a paying attention to detail, Mister. You should be a detective. I barked the words at him, standing in the grassy field as he stared at me confused. "No...Not exactly. I'm a doctor. The Doctor actually. Can you understand me at all?"
I barked some more; Yes... And how the h- how do you understand me? Are you a... Some sort of animal whisperer?
"No. Not now, and what are you?" He asked. I stared at him sceptically for a bit longer and untended. I shook my head and barked for him and the girl behind him to follow. She and him talked about something they needed to be on the lookout for. I tried my best to zone it out and walked on forward.
The people from earlier were gone and so were any other human beings. With that, I barked out a "stay, " and said no more.

The wolf ran farther away and out of view, leaving the two mysterious beings behind her.
