Lights come to life blinding me for a few seconds, though I wish the darkness could surround me again. There was no pain and no worries in the darkness, it was nice, soft, comforting, but the light had to come ruin it. Melanie stood there in the doorway and dropped her bag down making a soft thump. I curl my legs close to me wanting to be as far away from that thing. I didn't see a girl there, only an animal. Her stance is like she's going to pounce any second and tear apart her prey. The girl I once knew has disappeared and showed something much more hideous in her place. "What's with the look Abby? Do I scare little miss perfect, am I fearsome? Well that's good, I want you to fear me and hate me. You're going to need that anger for later sweetheart", the laugh I quickly learned to hate fills my ears causing me to curl into a tighter ball. I feel a hand grab me non to gently by my neck dragging me across the rough concrete. Out of reaction and fear, mostly fear, my hands reach up behind me finding her arm and digging my nails into her. I didn't stop there, with all of my strength I pull down causing her skin to rip and warm blood covering my hands and the floor. A scream echos off the concrete walls bouncing around everywhere blasting my eardrums, but I didn't care because she made a mistake, she let go. Adrenaline fuels me as I leap up and dash out the door and slamming it behind me locking it.
I dash making random turns that goes god knows where having me end up in a clean, white room with chains lining the ceiling covered with crusty red stuff. A hand flies to my mouth as my legs carry me backwards too fast causing me to fall. As quickly as I fell I get back up again and running to get as far away from that place. I somehow reach the party room with the dead parents now gone. I frantically look for something, anything at all! The door suddenly appears in my vision like a glimmering star. I sprint up the stairs and attempt to open it seeing that there were four l locks placed on it. Dammit and I was so close! I bang against the door just for the hell of it, my mind was going haywire. After  two or three hits a key falls off the door landing on the floor. I scramble to get the key and grab it. It's a rusty thing with a skull at the top of it, a skeleton key. I frantically test all of the locks only having one of them undone. Relief floods through my system, finally something that's useful, I put the key in my pocket. "Melanie I'm home!", the boy's voice rings out. Great, just great, I have a pissed off psycho in one room and another one that's going to soon corner me. What's next, suddenly the parents are going to be actually alive and those were fakes! Actually don't listen to that, with my luck that'll actually happen. I look around trying to find a place to hide, please anywhere. "Melanie? How come your not answering?"
"I'm down here Daniel! The little bitch locked me up!", I here thumping getting closer signalling my possible doom. I then settle for the most cliche hiding place it just might work, under the table. The table cloth should hide me and his first priority would to go free Melanie. This might give me a chance to exit IF he doesn't pay attention and forgets to lock the door. Almost as if on cue I hear a door slam open and hurried footsteps walk right past me. When they get far enough away I take my chance and sprint up to the door, I pray to whatever that might be up there that he didn't think to lock it. Reaching the door I give it a push and apparently someone up there likes me, the door opens wide. The front door stares at me and I can almost hear it scream run Abigale run! I sprint to it with my hand out almost making it to it. My fingers barely graze the knob and I get pulled back. I scream and kick with my hands flailing about trying to grab something that might be useful. My hand falls upon an umbrella lying on the ground, it's one of those ones that you push up the little thingy and it folds out. I swing it with all of my might and hit something because they let me go. Without hesitating I spin around and thrust the umbrella hitting Daniel square in the chest causing him to fall back down the staircase and finish with a crack. A screech fills the air as Melanie sees her now dead partner in crime. Leaving no time to waste I run upstairs going into the first room and lock it. I appear to have found Melanie's room because it's scattered with pictures of me and her along with illegible words scribbled on the walls. On each picture I have either a knife through me or some other sharp thing. I run over and grab a knife, slipping it into my pocket to hide it. A thumping sound fills the room causing me to look around frantically. It all ends when something hard hits the back of my head, making the world to fade to black. I'm alright with it though, it was unlikely that I was going to escape, but I got more things in my arsenal and one less torturer. Next time there will be zero left.
