Chapter 7- Apologies

"Where to first?" Caitlin asked as we were pulling up to the outlets.

I replied,"Again, I don't care. You pick."

"Oh alright, we're going into Wet Seal first. I think you'd look good in their clothes."

I just looked out the window and mumbled a quiet whatever.

Sometimes when I thought about what things have happened to me in the past, I tend to pull myself away from the world. I couldn't stop myself, I've always done it.

We parked so I got out of the car and put my cross body over my head. I saw Caitlin get out of the car so I walked to the other side.

We headed towards the store in silence, but that ended when she said,"Look, I'm sorry for making you do something you don't like. I know all about how you despise these kinds of things. I just... I'm only here for a few more days and I just wanted to hang out with you. I needed to hang out with my best friend." She nudged me with her elbow and made me crack a smile. "I know you missed your best friend too. Will you ever accept my apology?"

I rolled my eyes. How could I be mad at her? Why was I ever upset with her? My reasons were definitely invalid and I didn't have any right.

"Of course. You're right. I've been really off lately and I'm sorry. I've been such a girl for being mad at you for something so stupid. I'm glad I get to spend time with you. Just for you, I will make the best of this."

She looked up at me(because I was a few inches taller than her, she'd always been short) and smiled. Out of nowhere, she hugged me.

I laughed and hugged her back. I was so lucky to have her as a best friend. I didn't want anyone else to take her place, ever.

"Thank you Angelica, you always know what to say. You know I love you no matter how you act." Her toothy smile appears and soon brought a smile on my face.

"I know." The smile didn't leave until we entered the store.

Caitlin pushed open the doors and a wave of perfume came at me. Another reason why I didn't like shopping, there was too much perfume in all the stores I went to. It only made me want to leave, not come back so I could smell the horrid smell.

I covered my nose so I couldn't smell it any longer.

Caitlin glanced over at me and just rolled her eyes.

"Oh come on, stop overreacting. You'll get over it." She pulled me by the arm so we were over my the clearance section.

"But the smell... It's too much..." How could she stand such and awful and disgusting smell? I bet she was used to it...

"Okay so these are the cheap clothes, but they are good quality and they're good in general..." She started to drift off forgetting what she was going to say. "Okay whatever just pick out stuff you like and go change. No wait come see me if you like anything, got it?"

"Got it," I replied and went to the racks with shirts. Most of them were graphic t-shirts with the latest trends on the front. I disregarded them and went to another rack. There were less of those t-shirts and more of the girly and frilly kind of thing. I wasn't that type of girl. That was Caitlin.

The rest of the store consisted of dresses, flowy shirts, and pants. None of it seemed to suit me.

"Find anything so far?" Caitlin came up behind me almost giving me a scare. I turned around so I could formally talk to her.

"No, all of these clothes seem to fit you better anyways. Can we go somewhere else?"

She sighed but said," Alright fine, but I'm still picking. I just have to but this." She pointed to the white shirt that had black flower shapes over it. It was almost funny how much floral things she owned.

Caitlin had bought her shirt as well as three others, two pairs of pants and a sparkly pink headband. She was such a girl. We had already been in 4 different stores and I hadn't bought anything yet.

"Okay, Forever 21?" I was going to answer but she didn't even let me respond before she pulled me into the white store. I sighed now realizing this was a waste of my time.

Had to cut it short but I will update, hopefully, soon. Please vote and comment.
