The Aurora's dark matter drive core has exploded and is now leaking radioactive nuclear fuel into the ocean, the aurora itself is now destroyed beyond repair, the explosion damaged the front of the ship revealing an large breach in the hull.
The long range commenucations-relay that was broadcasting an distress call from the central command brigde, that is destroyed aswell now.

The lifepod i am in has an short range commenucations-relay built in, let's hope that an ship can pick up on the signal and send help or call to alterra HQ.
Meanwhile i have been busy collecting enough scrap to reclaim some titanium from it and i found broken parts of a seamoth so i scanned them to re-assemble a blueprint from the broken parts.

Once i am back at my pod i decide to build the vehicle constructor and deploy it right next to the lifepod, i hop on the small floating platform and select the seamoth from the blueprints, i press build, and four small drones pop out of the floaters in the constructor and start to construct the seamoth.

I recieve another distress call: "This is Avery Quinn from the tradingship 'Sunbeam', do you copy Aurora?...
*Avery talking/scolding softly in the background to crew*
Damned alterra ships, it's always the same story, they run out of engine grease, so they send out a distress signal, you offer them help and they won't respond...
Run a scan over this planet and we'll try again tomorrow."

I was saved! An trading Ship has picked up on my distress signal and is now comming for help, now if they scan this planet they'll pick up on the huge debris field of the Aurora and my life signature from my PDA.

My PDA picked up on a unusually high energy pulse about 2km away from my lifepod, i left the pod and got in the seamoth, time to find out what this engery pulse is...
