The villagers are in an uproar about the decision the Fairy Tail mages made, spewing obscenities and insults at them and Ruin. "How could you let that heretic go!" "We should kick your asses!" "He'll wreck the festival at this rate!"

"I don't understand what the problem is! We'll go and get his answer later tonight and if he says he'll come with us then we all leave! If not, we'll get him to leave the area!" Gray exclaims to the crowd. "Who knows what he'll do before then!" A man from the crowd yells. "He promised that he wouldn't do anything!" Lucy tries to calm everyone down but to no avail. "SHUT UP!!" Natsu screams at the top of his lungs, fire spewing from his mouth. "It's you guys' fault for him hating you all in the first place!" He adds in his fit of anger. "N-Natsu?" Wendy is surprised by Natsu's support of Ruin.

"The hell are you talking about?! He killed one of ours first!" A lady in the audience bellows. "He was born with a power he couldn't control! How is that his fault!" Erza yells out to the crowd before continuing. "Not one of you ever tried to reach out to him! No! Instead you just chased him, beat him and treated him as though he were a monster! Am I wrong!?" Erza's words silence the crowd. "His existence goes against the very nature of the Uprunna!" As the woman known as Mama Bear yells this out, the other villagers regain their voices as well.

"This isn't working." Carla states to Wendy. "I know but there has to be something we can do to calm them down." Wendy replies. Meanwhile, Happy walks up to the two and asks something that shifts their attention from the current events to a new situation. "Hey, where's that Turra guy?"

Back at the mountains, Ruin finds himself face to face with a group of five villagers and the familiar bespectacled man he met just recently. "So? What do you want?" Ruin asks the group. Turra takes charge and directs the boys attention towards the giant stone statue of Uprunna. "What do you see here?" He asks. "A statue of a demon." Ruin says, aggravating the villagers present. "You want to know what I see?" Turra says to the boy. "Not really?" Ruin replies. "I see opportunity. There are no records of gods in recent years. God slayers, sure, but gods? Imagine what one could learn from speaking with such a being. What knowledge could a deity share? The power the people of Uprunna once held is beyond anything in current times. Even Zeref. The mage that held the power to alter history, could not compare." Turra finishes his speech and works to catch his breath.

"So you're a fanatic, no wonder you and the villagers get along so well." Ruin says, unimpressed by Turra's speech. "You didn't let me get to the best part. Uprunna will be brought back. And you're going to help us do it." Turra' words, though they were meant to sound menacing, only served to make Ruin wonder whether the man in front of him had lost his marbles. "Yeeeeaaah, didn't you hear me before? I can't use magic. I break magic. How am I supposed to resurrect that demon?" Turra smiles at Ruins skepticism. "It's exactly that power of yours that makes you the only one who can do it." Ruins skepticism disappears, being replaced by a dawning sense of fear. "I've done my research. The null body you possess is on the level of a small scale, portable 'Face'. don't you see? This is what you were born to do." Turra motions for the villagers to close in on the boy.

"That thing is the reason I'be been hated since birth! There's no way in hell that I'd help you revive it!" After shouting out his defiance, the villagers begin firing magic at the boy. "<Burning Blitz!>" "<Dark Flare!>" "<Earthen Maiden!>" "<Frozen Force!>" "<Metal Make; Spear!>"

First, a barrage of burning embers shoots forth, exploding around Ruin, concealing everything from the boys sight. The second, a dark pillar of magic encompasses the area around him, further hiding him from view. Third is a spike filled coffin made of earth that rises either side of him, slamming into the boy. The next, a light blue force wave hits the pile of magic, freezing it all in place as a metal spear flies through, piercing ice, earth and darkness. "I wonder how long it will be before he breaks out of that?" Turra asks no one in particular. "Huh? There's no way! Even that heretic can't escape from that!" The young female metal make mage says confidently.

Turra looks back over to the frozen magic as it begins to crack. "Really?" He says as all the mages look back once more to see the ice shatter and the darkness dissipate; the Earth crumbles away and the metal dissolves, revealing Ruin standing there without a scratch on him. "So. What now?" Ruin says, brimming with confidence. "W-how is that possible?!" The female mage yells in shock. "Ah, that's right, I don't think I've seen you before. I can't say it's nice to meet you though." Ruin says with a cocky attitude before he starts his counterattack.

Rushing forwards, Ruin runs straight through a blast of fire as he lands a punch directly into the fire mages face, sending him soaring backwards. "You were always gonna be the first." Ruin says before he turns his attention back towards the other mages. "So who's gonna be next?"

"<Phantom Strike!>" the older dark mage uses a magic to create a black phantom from thin air, sending it after Ruin. "<Collapsing Earth>" the bulky earth mage sends a fissure in Ruins direction at the same time. As the fissure and phantom close in on the boy, a smile can be seen on his face as he takes off, leaping from rock to rock as the fissure forms. Closing in on him, the phantom rearing its head back and screeching as Ruins bare foot lands on its face. Ruin uses the phantom as a stepping stool moments before it too, dissipates. <Metal Make; Spear!>" a metal spear comes flying in Ruins direction, however, the boy manages to grab ahold of the weapon, spinning in the air and using the spear to slam the dark mage into the cavern wall as the weapon vanishes.

Following this attack, Ruin races towards the earth mage, dodging a heavy punch and landing one of his own in the large mans stomach, tearing up the ground and sending the man flying. "<Metal Make; Lance!>" a barrage of metal lances sail through the air, crashing into Ruins body as he turns to face the girl. "Doesn't even tickle." Ruin says with an understandably cocky tone of voice.

Taking off once again, Ruin delivers a hard blow to the girls stomach, grabs her arm and throws her over his shoulder and into the way of the scantily clad ice mage. "So. You got any more tricks up your sleeve or-" Ruin is cut off by the feeling of something sharp piercing his skin. His vision begins to blur as another small dart hits him in the chest. "A smart man always comes prepared. You yourself stated that your ability only works on magic nowadays. You only have yourself to blame for this." As Turra revels in his victory, he fires another dart at Ruin, hitting him in the neck and causing him to collapse to the ground, barely conscious. Turra walks over to him, dart gun in hand. "Knowledge is power, and soon, I will have an infinite amount of both." He fires a final dart into Ruin, knocking him unconscious.
