Chapter 6: The Guild That Supports Family

"You're sure he vanished about the time we parted ways with Ruin?" Erza asks the young dragon slayer. "Yes! For the last time, Yes!" Wendy replies vehemently. "Okay, no need to get all upset about it. I'm sure he's fine." Gray says, trying to calm the small girl down. "It's not Turra I'm worried about!" Wendy exclaims. "What? What do you mean by that?" Lucy asks. "He's been giving off a weird feeling for a while now. I just couldn't bring myself to trust him." Wendy says with concern in her voice. "Now that you mention it, he did smell a bit funny." Natsu adds. "Why didn't you mention that before, you idiot?" Gray asks the salmon haired dragon slayer. "It smelt so bad I thought it had to have been you!" Natsu yells, insulting Gray to his face. "Why you-!" Gray is cut off by Carla. "We're here."

The group now stands before the entrance to the giant mountain that supposedly houses the frozen form of Uprunna the god of magic. "What are we waiting for!" Natsu is the first to barge through the entrance, immediately stopping when he sees what lies within. "Is that... a demon?" Gray, who enters with the rest of the group, is taken aback by the massive stone creature. "Wait, look over there!" At Carla's behest, they all look to the base of the monument, seeing five villagers, Turra and an unconscious Ruin strapped into some kind of ancient machine connected to the demonic statue.

"What's going on here!?" Erza shouts, attracting the attention of the six. "Ah! My friends from Fairy Tail! How are you all doing?" Turra asks politely, as if nothing were wrong with the current situation. "What are you doing to Ruin!?" Lucy yells questioningly. "Hm? Oh that. He's been connected to Uprunna's shell through this machine. With this, I have been able to successfully transfer some of Uprunna's powers into other hosts." Turra explains willingly. "Huh?" Natsu asks confused. "It's probably easier if I show you. Show our guests your new strength." At Turra's words, the five villagers open their eyes which glow with a bright blue light. "<Earth gods; sealed room>"

As the cavern begins to shudder, walls of thick earth rise and each of the Fairy Tail mages are separated. When the earthen rooms finish forming, each mage finds themselves partnered up with one of the villagers, except Gray who appears to be battling two on one.

"Alright, what's the big deal? Am I that much of a threat that you need to make it two on one?" Gray asks the villagers. The scantily clad ice mage girl with light green hair smiles with utter glee at her opponent while the metal make mage girl simply brushes her black hair out of her face and prepares for the fight ahead. "Gray, my love..." gray turns to the sound of the voice to see the familiar face of Juvia behind him. "I thought we were past this."

In another sealed off room, Erza is face to face with the older dark mage man. "It's a shame that such a beautiful young maiden must fall at my hands, but I will do whatever it takes to bring back our god." The man states as if he has already won. "You sicken me to the core you creep. I will not be going easy on you." Erza replies, activating her requip magic and donning a set of pure black, glistening armour. "Void empress armour. You will pay for what you and your people have done to Ruin."

"Little girl. You should just give up." The bulky earth mage advises Wendy. "You should know that I have no intention of doing so." Wendy replies with sturdy conviction. "Is that so? A shame, but I will have to end you here." The earth mage and Wendy both ready themselves.

"I've heard about you. A dragon slayer right? I wonder how dragon tastes, roasted by a gods flame." The fire mage says while licking his lips. "Heh, this'll be my second time fighting a fire god slayer. His flames weren't even that hot, I wonder what yours'll taste like?" Natsu replies hungrily.

"And then there was Lucy. Tell me something Lucy, what do you see here?" Turra asks Lucy who stands there with only Happy and Carla as backup. "I see a lunatic who'll hurt innocent people just to gain a little power." Lucy's answer seems to agitate Turra. "Wrong! What I seek is not power! I seek knowledge! Power is but a byproduct of knowledge! Knowledge is the key to true, everlasting power!" Lucy is taken aback by Turra's sudden change in attitude. "Is that why your doing all this? You want to be smarter?" Lucy asks. "No! You don't understand! Lucy...I thought you were a smart girl. You listened to my story with such curiosity that it made my heart skip a beat. Beauty and brains? But the reality? You're just another dumb bimbo with a bit of power." Turra's comment ticks off Lucy. She pulls out a golden gate key and prepares to use it. "Last chance. Release Ruin or I'll show you what my power can do!" Lucy's request goes unanswered, a devilish smile forming on Turra's bespectacled face. "Fine. <Gate of the golden Bull; Open; Star Dress!>"

"Moooo! Lookin' goooood Lucy!" The bull celestial spirit Taurus comments on Lucy's Star dress form. Her cow pattern bra and one-legged black pants. "Disgusting." Turra's face twists in disgust as Lucy prepares to fight. "Take this!" Lucy cracks her whip against the ground, rupturing the earth in front of her. "Tch." Turra clicks his tongue as the earth is crushed beneath him. "<Collapse!>" the earth in front of Turra collapses in on itself, preventing Lucy's attack from reaching him. "<Lucy Punch!>" Lucy yells out. Turra tries to determine where the attack is coming from, however the attack never reaches him. Lucy punches a hole in the device Turra was using to hold Ruin. The worn, reinforced glass shatters and Ruin falls into Lucy's arms, or rather, he falls face first into her breasts as they both fall to the floor. "Soft...how'd I end up in heaven...?" The comment from the barely conscious boy causes Lucy's cheeks to blush for a moment before she gets them both to their feet, carrying Ruin with one arm over her shoulders.

"Lucy! Give that back!" Turra screams, panicking. Lucy pokes her tongue out at the crazed man before turning to face Ruin. "Hey Ruin, we haven't gotten your answer yet?" She asks softly. "What...?" Ruin asks, still barely conscious and slightly under the influence of the anaesthetics. "Will you join our guild? Our family?" Lucy replies with a smile. "...yeah...I'd like that..." Lucy smiles brightly before looking back to Turra. "There you have it! There's no way I'd ever give up a member of Fairy Tail!" Lucy's words earn Turra's ire as he clicks his tongue once more.

A rumbling sound occurs behind them when the wall of one of the sealed off earth rooms collapses, a pair of fire mages crashing through. The villager has fire burning brightly around his body as Natsu stands atop him, eating the flames he produces until the villager finally becomes unconscious. "Natsu!" Lucy shouts, happy to see her friend is alright. "He was weak but his flame tasted alright."

In the other rooms, the dark mage casts his most powerful spell, bringing forth a cacophony of phantoms, all attempting to strike Erza down. She returns the favour by carving a path through and slashing down the front of the dark mage, prompting him to scream out in pain before falling back.

The ice mage and the metal make mage join hands, holding their free hands out towards their targets. "<Unison Raid; Frozen Flower!>" a giant flower with petals made of metal and ice appears in front of them before opening and preparing what looks to be a collection of sharp, frozen, metal spears with ice thorns covering each one. In response to this, Juvia and the half naked Gray join hands themselves. "Unison Raid; Shotgun!>" sharp spears of ice are generated continuously as they collide with the other teams magic. Eventually, the frozen flower magic is overwhelmed, smashing into pieces as the spears continue through to hit the two girls and break through the wall behind them.

"H-how is a little girl like you so powerful?" The earth mage asks Wendy, bewildered by the young girl. "I've had to fight countless enemies to protect my guild. I won't be beaten here! <Sky Dragons; Roar!>" a cyclone of wind bellows from her mouth, launching the muscular man off his feet and through the wall, knocking him out. With his defeat, the rest of the walls come crashing down to reveal all of the Fairy Tail members perfectly fine having defeated their opponents.
