Red White & Blue Chapter 5

It has been 4weeks since Derek and I had gotten married. Meaning we only had 4 more weeks with him before he went to Afghanistan. After our wedding night things were kind of awkward between us. The past couple of days I've been really sick. As I laid in bed today Derek was outside working on his truck. I didn't want to spend a whole week of my summer just laying in bed because I didn't feel good and got up walking to our dresser. I grabbed my camouflage bikini and some jean shorts and changed out of my pajamas. As I headed outside I put on my cowgirl boots. When I walked outside I saw Derek's muscular body bent over, working on his truck. He was wearing jeans, work boots, and his camo hat was on backwards. His shirt was sitting on the roof of his truck because I'm guessing it got too hot. He hadn't noticed that I came outside so I quietly walked up behind him and patted his butt. He turned around and looked down at me with a smile then kissed me. When we pulled apart he turned back towards his truck but I grabbed his upper arm. He looked back at me.

"Let's go down to the lake."

"I can't babe I'm working."

"C'mon is your truck really that important? Can it wait?"

"Ugh... I need to get this done."

"Please? I don't wanna go alone." I said pouting out my bottom lip.

"I guess. You'll have to make it up to me though." he said winking and squeezing my butt. I gasped and grabbed the hat off his head.I giggled and put it on my head.

"Only if you can catch me." I replied before running off to the lake. I heard Derek's loud footsteps following me. I looked back then ahead and picked up the pace. All of a sudden I was being picked up and thrown over Derek's shoulder. I screamed and he laughed but kept running. He finally set me down on my feet once we got to the dock. I noticed I was standing on the edge and he took the hat off my head and threw it on the bank. We laughed at each other.

"Got you." he said right as he leaned in to kiss me. He began to bring his hands up to my face but placed them on my shoulders and pushed me. I let out a scream right before the cold water enclosed around me. When I surfaced Derek was bent over with his hand on his stomach laughing his ass off. I began to pretend cry and he stopped laughing.

"Help me out you jerk!" I yelled at him. He walked closer to the edge and reached out his hand. I grabbed it and pulled him down making a big splash in the water. I giggled and he surfaced with a angry glare on his face.

"Oh you think that's funny baby?" I nodded as I continued to laugh. All of a sudden he pushed my head under the water then let me back up. I gasped for air then splashed him with water. That started a HUGE water fight between us that lasted at least two hours. Finally we got out of the water and my shorts were clinging to my skin as well as Derek's jeans to his legs.

He began to take off his boots then unbuckled his jeans and peeled them off leaving him in his boxers. I decided to take off my jean shorts and my cowgirl boots leaving me in my bikini. Derek gave me a huge smirk. I blushed and looked at the ground. He surprised me by picking me up and walking back to the house. Once we were inside we undressed and laid on the couch. I definitely made it up to him.

**********4 hours later************

Derek and I were laying in bed naked. I had my head on his chest and was playing with his dog tags. The slow beat of his heart was like a lullaby. All to quick the moment was over when I felt nausea. I sat up and crawled over Derek's body and into the bathroom. While I was throwing up Derek came in rubbing my back. When I was done I sat back against the bathtub and Derek wrapped the bed sheet around my naked body then pulled me into his side kissing my forehead.

"You okay?"

"Derek, how long has it been since the wedding?"

"Uh... 5 weeks tomorrow. Why?" I just stared at him.
