I'm so excited to do this story! Here's chapter One! Let me know what you think!!
If someone had told Josephine James 3 years ago that she would be opening an awards show, she probably would have laughed way too hard. "I just don't get why you're so nervous, Josie. It's not like you haven't opened for this awards show before." Josephine's best friend, Della-Louise, said around a mouthful of food. "I mean, yeah, it's a lot of people, but they all love you!"
Josie rolled her eyes and started looking through the racks again. "That's not the point, Della. It's not like a normal concert. There are going to be celebrities there. Singers, Della! Singers that are a million times better than I am!" She groaned and flopped down next to Della. "And did I tell you where they've put us? Right behind Five Seconds of Summer. How am I going to sit through a three hour awards show with that band in front of me?" Josie sighed, heavily, and ran her hands down her face.
Della laughed and shook her head. "You'll probably tell Ashton that you want to jump in his pants. Or ask him if he'll bang you like his drums." Both girls started laughing so obnoxiously that Della snorted, which caused them to laugh even harder.
Josie sat back and wiped her eyes. "God, that felt good. Anyways, you need to stop eating and help me pick out my two outfits AND pick your one outfit, kay?" And so, over the next two hours, both girls looked through rack after rack of outfits at Josie's favorite store.
Flashing lights and screaming greeted Josie and Della as they stepped out of the limo. "Here goes." Josie said through her teeth as she smiled before she started walking down the red carpet, stopping every now and then to answer questions or take pictures. Eventually, a security guard led Josie to her changing room and Della to her seat. Josie groaned internally, hoping Della wouldn't embarrass either of them while she was on her own.
Josie slid the dress off her body and laid the jewelry down on the makeup counter before she hurriedly pulled on her new outfit. Josie could hear the music that was being played while all the guests arrived and were lead to their seats. The music led her thinking towards the seating arrangement for the night and she groaned again. "You should've just told the dude that you wanted as far away from any type of boy band as possible." She huffed to herself, putting on the new set of jewelry before she slipped on her shoes and headed for the door.
