Aikatsu Hearts!

Prologue

The bell rang as two girls headed towards their Maths classroom. Their pace sped up, hoping not to be the last people there. Luckily they weren't, since a few other forms had been let out late. "We were really lucky." Maihime exclaimed to her friend as they made their way to their desk.

"You can say that again!" Yae said back. They set their bags down on to the ground and pulled out the books for the lesson. Maihime gasped and gave Yae a guilty look.

"Yae~chan... I-" She was interrupted by a pen being handed to her.

"Let me guess, you forgot your pencil case. Again." The brunette nodded sadly while Yae giggled. "You always forget it."

"I know. I'll get more organised... soon." She said right before the lesson began. They looked at the teacher as she began to write something on the board.

"Today class we will be recapping algebra. Try to work out the answer to this question." She pointed to the board, and everyone started to write out their calculations in silence. Well, everyone apart from Yae and Maihime.

"This one looks pretty hard." Yae said, and Mai nodded in agreement.

"You're right, but what if we simplify it."

"And then carry the two, and then..."

"That's the answer!" Mai whisper-gasped, and the two immediately shot up their hands, feeling smart for once.

"Does anyone know the answer to the question? Anyone?" The teacher, Mrs Coates, asked the class. No one had their hands up apart from them.

"I can't believe that we're the only people who know it!" Mai whispered excitedly to Yae.

"I know right?" Yae responded. Mrs Coates continued to ask the class. She caught sight of them, but looked at everyone else. Then Poppy, another student, raised her hand.

"Yes Poppy?" Yae glared at Poppy, then Mrs Coates, and then Poppy again. Mai just whacked her head against the table.

"Is it 48?" Poppy answered, unsure. You could hear the two in the corner dying.

"Well, the answer is actually 47." She then went on to explain how to get the answer. However, Yae and Mai just ignored her since they were filled with rage.

"OH MY COOKIES WE WOULD HAVE GOTTEN THAT RIGHT! SHE JUST DIDN'T PICK US!" Mai whisper-screamed to the blonde.

"I KNOW RIGHT?!" Yae whisper-replied. "Anyway, wanna hear something cool?"

"Sure. I need to hear something cool before I go and punch Mrs Coates!" Mai said, clenching her hands.

"Well, I picked up this flyer for Four Star Academy! Apparently they are holding auditions for every school in the area!"

"No way!"

"Yes way!" Yae grinned. "And High School just happens to be one of them!" The bell rang, and everyone stood up apart from Maihime. She was frozen from a huge wave of feelings.
