1 | A Shimmering Start Line

"Our fight to be the number one idols! Maihime Aika, standing at the start line of her Aikatsu!"

"MAI-CHAN! MAI-CHAN! HURRY UP!" Yae stood outside of her best friend's house. "I know you take a long time to get ready, BUT THIS IS FOUR STAR ACADEMY! COME ON!" In the near distance,  she heard footsteps before a bang as a brown haired girl fell down the stairs.

"Owww...." She rubbed her arms before beginning to pick up her suitcase, and everything that flew out of it as she fell. Yae helped her.

"Oh my sheep, I'm so sorry for rushing you! If I didn't rush you, this wouldn't have happened!" Yae exclaimed, but Maihime just shook her head in response.

"No, it's my fault. I admit that I may have started re-watching the Starlight finale again." She said, guilt shining in her amber eyes. Yae laughed.

"Oh, Mai-chan. What are we gonna do with you?" She asked, playfully. "I'll help you carry your things to the car. I already carried mine through." She picked up her friend's pastel pink suitcase.

"Don't you think it's a little weird?" Yae tilted her head to one side. "You know, how we're going from normal girls in school to idols on stage? It all seems too much for me!" Maihime said.

Yae looked down. "Well, I guess you are right there Mai-chan. But," Yae jumped up really high into the air. "NOTHING IS TOO MUCH FOR US!"

"YAE HOW DID YOU JUMP ONTO THE CAR FROM DOWN HERE?!" Maihime asked, shocked that her friend managed to pull that incredible trick. Yae slid off the car's roof, giggling.

"To be honest I didn't know that I jumped that high." She then continued to jump into the car. "Are you ready to go?"

Maihime nodded. "Absolutely!" The brunette slid into the seat next to her friend. In the front, her little sister, Tomoko, was scrolling through Youtube before tapping on the latest Aphmau video.

"Took you long enough, Nee-chii." She scoffed, putting on her headphones. "You really are a slowpoke!" Maihime clenched her fist, only to be calmed down by Yae.

"M-Mai-chan, calm down. I'm sure Tomoko was just joking, right Tomo-chan?" Yae was having to hold her down.

"I was being serious." She said blatantly, and Maihime's eye twitched.

"THAT'S IT-"

"What's going on in here?!" A voice from outside of the car shouted, and the girls all turned their heads to see where it was coming from. It was Maihime and Tomoko's mum, Yuu Aika, and she wasn't very happy with them at all. "Maihime, darling, we went over this last night. Be nice to your sister. Your father and I were reluctant to send you to Four Star Academy, but we were kind enough to let you go, so the least you can do is show some respect to your sister!" The brunette scowled and looked to her little sister.

"Fine. Tomo-chan, I'm sorry." She said, bowing her head in apology. 

"It's fine." She smiled. "After all, I am getting your bedroom so..."
