****Ethan's POV****
We pulled up to Mark's house, and I carried Cecilia out of the car, making sure to grab her diaper bag.
The front door was pulled open before I could even knock, and Mark pulled me into a big hug.
"Good to see you, Ethan." I smiled a little. It had been too long since I had last gone to see my friends, and I felt kinda bad about it.
"You, too, Mark."
We stood there like that for a moment, before Cecilia began to babble, and we pulled away, Mark watching Cecilia excitedly.
"Hey, there, kiddo!" Mark gave Cecilia a big kiss on the top of her head, and Cecilia giggled. "How've you been? Have you been taking good care of your Daddy?" Cecilia babbled to Mark again, and his smile widened. "That's good."
"Mark, is that Ethan?" I heard Amy's voice, and I felt a big grin spread across my face. I had missed my friends so much.
"Yeah. He's coming!" He called back, then turning back to me and ushering me into the house.
Almost as soon as I walked in, I was practically mauled by Tyler, Amy, and Kathryn all hugging me and telling me how much they missed me.
"I missed you guys, too."
After five minutes of being in a tight hug with my friends, we pulled away, and they all began fawning over Cecilia. It was then that I noticed that there was someone I had never met before hiding in the corner of the room. I handed Cecilia to Amy, then I walked over to the woman.
She was petite and curvy, with wavy shoulder-length chocolate hair with big streaks of vibrant purple in it, a round face with a button nose and rosy cheeks, big blue eyes that were framed by thick eyelashes and sharp eyeliner, and plump lips with dark red lipstick on them. She wore a black blouse with a corset detail, a black steampunk skirt, black chunky-heel lace-up ankle booties, a fancy vintage choker with big black beads, and round black glasses.
I held my hand out, greeting her with, "Hey, I'm Ethan. I don't believe we've met." She studied me for a moment before taking my outstretched hand and shaking it.
"I'm Rosalyn." She still seemed to be trying to figure me out. After a moment, she seemed to realize who I was, and her blue eyes widened. "Oh! You're Crank Gameplays!" She smiled.
"Yup, that's me."
"Oh, I'm such a big fan! Your Would You Rather's are my favorite!" Rosalyn looked super excited, and a small smile found it's way to my face.
It was then that everyone else stopped fawning over Cecilia, and seemed to realize that I was talking with someone that they had forgotten to introduce.
"Oh, Ethan!" Mark grinned, walking over and putting a hand on Rosalyn's shoulder. "This is Rosalyn. She's part of Teamiplier now as the social-media correspondent. She's our eyes and ears in the comments on YouTube and Twitter. She also makes a mean grilled cheese." Rosalyn blushed a little. From what I could tell, Rosalyn was a pretty cool girl.
Amy walked over to us, handing Cecilia back to me.
"She wanted her Daddy." Amy explained, and I snuggled Cecilia to my chest, giving her a big kiss on the top of her head.
"Ooh, hey there, Muffin." A huge grin spread across my face. "You doing good?" Cecilia smiled up at me, and I felt a warm feeling spread throughout my chest. "That's good, Muffin. That's good."
"Oh my goodness!" Rosalyn squealed. "Is this your daughter?!" I nodded, smiling.
"Yeah, this is Cecilia Josephine Nestor-Clark."
"She's so cute!" Rosalyn looked like this was the best day of her life. Then, she seemed to realize something. "Clark?" All of my friends turned to me, concerned looks on their faces.
"You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to." Tyler reminded me gently. I nodded.
"I know, but I'll have to sometime." I took a deep breath, trying desperately to compose myself and calm my steadily-growing nerves. "Clark is -- was -- the last name of my wife, Krista." I explained. "She.... She died in a car accident about three months ago." Rosalyn's smile instantly fell.
"Oh." Her voice was much less excited now, and she sounded very sad. "I'm so sorry. I had no idea. I haven't checked my personal social media profile in months." I tried for a smile.
"It's perfectly fine, Rosalyn. It's not your fault." Then, I had an idea that might change the somber mood of the current discussion. "Hey, would you like to hold Cecilia?" She suddenly looked terrified.
"W-What?" She fidgeted nervously. "Are you sure?" I nodded.
"Here, let's go into the living room, that way you can sit and hold her. She can be a little squirmy."
We all made our way into the living room, and Rosalyn sat down on the couch, looking even more nervous.
"Hey, it's gonna be fine." I promised. "You aren't gonna hurt her."
"Okay." I felt really bad about how nervous she was. She shouldn't have to be this scared to hold my baby.
"Okay, here we go." I carefully lowered Cecilia into Rosalyn's arms, and Rosalyn looked absolutely terrified for a moment, but then she relaxed.
"Hello there, Cecilia." She smiled, and Cecilia smiled back. Cecilia was such a happy little girl, and she was in such a good mood today from seeing her aunties and uncles, so I knew that Rosalyn would have no problems with her. "You're such a sweet little girl, aren't you?" Cecilia began to babble, and Rosalyn looked like she had never been happier in her whole life. She turned to me, almost with tears in her eyes, and said, "You have the sweetest little girl in the whole world." I smiled back.
"I know. She's just the best." I pulled out my phone, and pulled up the camera. "Say 'Cheese'!"
"Cheese!" Rosalyn repeated, smiling at the camera.
The picture was great, and Cecilia was even smiling!
I posted it on Twitter and Instagram with the caption:
I'm back, baby! Cecilia and I are back to work, and we got a great picture of Cecilia and our new Teamiplier member, Rosalyn! Can't wait to see what this year has in store for our super-talented team!
Now, it was time to get to work.
*******I know it's been years since I've added anything to this, but this was a draft that I had had finished that I had completely forgotten about. I've been looking through my old work and I remembered that I had written this. I might add some more to it, who knows.*******
