Hermione awoke and felt a bit groggy at first. She felt like being ran off by horses. She turned and saw the peaceful sleeping man beside her and those pain just went away. She brushed his hair from his face, and smiled to her sleeping man. If someone told her that her sarcastic and loner professor would be the love of her life, she would laugh out loud. But somehow, along the way, she fell in love with him.....

(a year earlier)

"Could you please sit down?" Harry told his best friend who's pacing in the room.

"How can I sit down, Harry?" Ron said, "my family is out there, even Neville and Luna are captured but Dumbledore asked us to stay put."

Harry also very worried. He's worried sick of Ginny, his godfather Sirius, and his friends as well.

"We need to take care Hermione," Harry told him.

They rescued Hermione from death eaters and found her being tortured for days. Their rescue plan didn't work out well, that they all got separated to each other. They were lucky that Severus secretly helped them that they escaped to a hiding.

"We can't even use magic in here," Ron whined again.

"We can't let Voldermort find us. Or worse, revealing Severus' identity," Harry told him again.

He was understanding but being with nagging Ron was the worst situation he ever in.

"Ron!" He yelled, then Ron stopped his pacing and sat down.

"I'll check on Hermione," Harry said and walked to the room next to it.

"Is she alright, professor?" he asked Severus who was healing her wounds.

"She will be," Severus answered without turning, still focusing on her.

It was a while until he finished and sat down to the couch in the bedroom and looked at Harry who was sitting on the bed next to sleeping Hermione.

"Mr. Weasley can leave and find his family, if he wants to. So are you, Mr. Potter," he said with his deep voice, "I can take care of Ms. Granger myself."

Harry was thinking and before he can answer anything, Severus continued, "As if you dunderheads can help me in anything. If you're around, that even three of you that I need to babysit."

"But Dumbledore said..,"

"Use your head, he's not always right," said Severus flatly.

Harry went out and talked something with Ron, then they both came in and said their goodbye to Hermione and Severus.

It was days until Hermione could walk around. It was boring for both of them, but it was very dangerous at the moment to leave their hiding. So they didn't have much choice but stayed in that basement.

One day, they both sat down in two seats sofa. With no books, this hiding was like hell for both of them. Hermione finally took the TV remote and turned it on. It was an animated movie, about a boy meeting a little girl. They had same dream, to have an adventure, going to Paradise Island, that they became close and when they're adult, they got married. They grew old together and one day, the wife was sick and passed away.

"Oh no," Hermione said, crying. Her tear fell down, while Severus stared at her boring.

"Are you crying, Ms. Granger?"

She turned her head and frowned to him, "Obviously. Stating the obvious, professor?"

She then grabbed a tissue and wiped the tears but cried again.

"It's an animation, Ms. Granger. the illustrator just stopped drawing the character."

"How can you be so heartless?" she yelled. "Can you see? they love each other. They're not rich, they're not successful, but they're happy. Because they have each other. But now, she's gone." She cried again.

At that moment, somehow a part of Severus was changed. His frozen heart was warmed.

"You're right. It's sad." He said in flat tone.

"What?" She turned to him, "What did you just say?"

"Ms. Granger, I admit that it's sad. Being left by someone that you share the most of your life, is a sad thing."

She looked at him and didn't say a word.

They continued to watch the movie in silent.

Hermione got up from bed and went to the bathroom. After washed up, she walked to the dining room and saw her son was being cradled by Harry.

"See who's here, baby boy," he grinned, "your mom is here."

"Baby boy?" She asked while taking him from Harry.

"Well, we don't know his name, and we don't want to disturb you. You need rest."

She smiled to her baby, and said to Harry, "I want Severus to name him. I guess for now, I will call you Baby Boy then."

During breakfast, everyone was smothering the baby. He was becoming the focus of attention. Contradicting to what that Severus may like, he was never a fan of attention. He dreaded at it.

But that situation helped Hermione, that she could tend to Severus and others loved to babysit her son.

"You're awake," she said when his eyes were finally opened.

He suddenly sat up and his hand quickly moved to his head, dizziness.

"Slowly," Hermione said to him, holding his back and his arm.

He turned to her and pulled her to his chest. Hermione's hand enveloped his waist and for that moment, she just sighed. One by one, the burden was lifted.

"I thought I'd never see you again," he said.

She pulled away and palmed his both cheeks, "I'm here Severus. I'm not going anywhere."

He kissed her slowly. It was a deep kiss, their lips moved in a sway and their tongues danced along causing her heart beat faster.
