Neko

Tord's mother had taken him to the pet store. Tord looked around then saw a little boy, about the same age as him. The sign read 'Neko.' "Mommy? What's a neko?" Tord asked, looking confused at his mother. Before she could speak the little boy said "human-cat hybrid. Hybrids are a species mixed with another." The boy said, as he stared blankly at the shopkeeper. "That would be $500" she said as she looked at the price. "Just enough." The shopkeeper grabbed a coller and a key. She unlocked the cage, putting a collet on the boy. "His name is Tom." She said. "He was raised by cats, so he has a liking for fish, especially salmon." She continued as Tord's mother took the boy by the hand. "I suggest you feed him when you get home, he's about 9 pounds. Average is about 15" she said as she patted him on the head. He purred as Tord had a confused expression. "What's that noise he's making? "He asked. The shopkeeper replied "that's purring. That's the sound Nekos and other creatures make when they like something." "You said his name was Tom, right?" Tord's mother asked. "Yes, it's Tom. " she said. "Alright, well take care!" She said as she waved goodbye to them. Tord had put his arm around Tom, as he looked scared. "Whats wrong?" He asked. "W-where are we going? " Tom stuttered. "Ive only known that place my whole life..." "Home." Tord replied as they went inside.

Then it went like a fairytale.
