Kyungsoo opened his eyes to the bright morning sun. Thanks to the unclosed curtains, his face received a sudden amount of light. Kyungsoo brought his hand up to shield his scrunched up eyes and furrowed eyebrows.
"Time to start another fucking boring day", he grumbled in depression.
Kyungsoo lived a university life in Seoul, South Korea. Many would think that he seemed the type to lead a normal, everyday life. While everyone else would go and hang out at karaokes with their friends, or go to clubs and get laid, Kyungsoo was different. He preferred the antisocial life, no friends, no family visits, just him and himself. All he ever did was stay home and play Overwatch. If someone tried to approach him and become friendly with him, he would neglect right away. Kyungsoo was the type of person that had a get-the-fuck-out-of-my-life persona. These feelings of his were developed ever since 7 years ago, when his parents were reported to be dead in a plane crash, near Jeju City. That happened when he was 17 years old. It was a coincidence that his parents' death happened right before he would leave home. On top of everything, he hated life, he hated the world. If it weren't for all these creatures, my parents would still be here, with me, he thought. Kyungsoo wanted the human race to be gone. Often times when he sat down on his bean bag, with his feet propped up on his bed, he found himself daydreaming about jumping off the tall building of his undersized apartment.
Lifting himself off his pillow with his elbows and scratching his raunchy scalp he said, "What is the point of life, there's nothing to cherish in this world."
Kyungsoo decided to take a 5 minute shower. Hot water was all Kyungsoo would use for a shower. He enjoyed the way it burned his pale skin, making him forget the inward detriment he had felt since 7 years ago. Kyungsoo also seemed perplexed at times when he saw the steamy fog creep out of the shower curtain and vanish in to thin air. He wished he could grab a hold of the fog's hand, so that it would take him with it to wherever it went, to nothingness. As he walked out of the shower, drops of water slowly leaked through his black hair, putting moisture to his cotton t-shirt. Looking over at the clock, 9:43 am, Kyungsoo then proceeded to continue his usual weekend morning routine. Eat, brush teeth, then Overwatch untill he got bored of it.
There were scuffling noises outside in the hallway, in front of Kyungsoo's suite. Curiously, he took quiet steps to the door and looked through the the peep hole. Three middle aged men were occupied, moving boxes in the apartment right to the left of Kyungsoo's. Don't tell me there's gonna be a fucking new kid moving in next to me. Kyungsoo was angered, he decided to open the door and say a few words of advise to whoever it was that was moving in. He was so ready to go shout out to him to either act as if he's non-existent, or leave. However, Kyungsoo was stopped by a sudden sense of serendipity. A slight shudder tickled his spine, surprising him.
There at the entrance of apartment 12, stood a creature of great beauty, as if he had been saturated with the soul of a god. The creature looked down at the boxes beside his feet with a patient look etched on his handsome face. The three men continued their work as the new man waited, leaning against the wall. His dark brown hair dangled a few strands over his eyes, making him look more mysterious than he already was. His face was perfection, more perplexing than any sculpted statue that ever existed. The man's soft, sun-kissed skin vibrated a tender, bronze color like no other. The jawlines on either side of his face were a polished and sharp angle. The slight, almost unseeing stubble on his chin added a sweet touch to his visuals. Kyungsoo stared at the tall figure before him. He'd never felt so lost for words in his life. For the first time, he felt like something was pushing him down, some forceful feeling that he'd never felt. Kyungsoo suddenly felt desperate for something, but he couldn't really identify what it was.
The new neighbor looked up at a baffled Kyungsoo. The three workers had left and now it was just the two neighbors. The new man gave Kyungsoo a questioning look, as if to ask if there was something wrong. Kyungsoo was retrieved to reality and cleared his throat.
"Uh...Sorry, I was just a little sur-surprised 'bout having a new neighbor." Kyungsoo mumbled with his cheeks blushing a cotton-like pink.
He looked down uncertainly, digging his right toe in the little seam between the floor and the wall. His hands held on to each other's fingers, trying to stay calm. The tall man chuckled, a deep and sentimental sound. A little smile simulated in his dark, sexy eyes.
"I reckon it's be better to get used to each other, wouldn't it? Perhaps we can go for kimshi together, just to get to know each other. You know?" The man asked, raising an eyebrow.
Kyungsoo said nothing. This man's voice was like no other. It was as soft as the honey that dripped from the moon in one's dreams. There was a sweet tenderness mixed with something darker in his voice when he spoke to Kyungsoo. His soft and plump lips moved in such an arousing way.
"My name is Jongin by the way." Jongin continued with an amused face, clearly enjoying Kyungsoo's speechless current condition.
Kyungsoo awkwardly repositioned himself and introduced himself, trying his best to make words.
"Kyu-Kyungsoo", was all that managed to come out.
Jongin let out another soft chuckle, pushing himself of the wall and starting for his apartment entrance. He gave Kyungsoo a friendly smirk as he waved his hand in a playful manner.
Once the neighboring door closed, Kyungsoo let go of his breath. He didn't know for how long he was holding it. He entered his apartment again and closed the door. He stood there for a while, reflecting on what had just happened. He smacked himself hard on his forehead. Jesus, I must've looked like such a fucking retard in front of him! But why? Why had he felt like this? He's just another man, he thought. Kyungsoo didn't know anything about this Jongin. Though his meer existence was enough to leave Kyungsoo shook to the core. This man was really something else.
