Kyungsoo woke up from his daily three-hour nap. It was Friday, the day the new and mysterious so-called Jongin moved in. Kyungsoo still hadn't been able to get Jongin out of his head this whole time. He had a strange dream during his three hours of sleep, which he might've felt ashamed of. Kyungsoo felt lost, he needed an explanation to why the hell he was feeling like this. He had never had such a sentiment before. Shaking his still drowsy head, Kyungsoo got off his couch and pushed off the control laying in his lap from previously playing Overwatch. Kyungsoo then headed to his little kitchen to the left of the apartment entrance. Red vine was what always gave Kyungsoo the energy to continue with his life. Taking a bottle from the fridge and pouring it into a glass, Kyungsoo took in the delicious smell of the bloody liquid. He took another bottle, this time vodka, and added the alcohol to his already intoxicated drink. The more poison, the better, he thought. Kyungsoo took a heavy sip, sighing afterward in bliss. Alcohol was the only thing that could really awaken Kyungsoo up. He truly loved the way it made his chest burn, making it warm with a pleasant buzz of satisfaction. The taste of sour grapes gave the whole mixture a sweet but bitter touch.
Considering it was Friday, technically everyone was at a party, trying to get pregnant. Some others preferred to stay home and study or do video games. Kyungsoo's train of thought was interrupted by a noise in the back, like a door opening. Of course, it was the door that opened to the little deck at the back. Kyungsoo never went out to that deck, only for like five seconds just to take a breath of fresh air. But other than that, he didn't enjoy the sight of people bustling around in the streets below. He didn't enjoy looking at people, period. However, his curiosity was triggered by the opening door. As far as Kyungsoo could tell, it was the door on the left, which meant it could only be one person. Kyungsoo walked over to the glass door behind the kitchen, shuffling nervously on the carpet that lay out on the floor of his living room. Getting more and more nervous as he neared the back porch, he gripped the white handle with his fingers. Kyungsoo peeped his head through the door like a curious penguin, looking over at the porch on his left.
There he was, Jongin. He had his hands on the silver rails in front of him, leaning into a relaxing position. Jongin seemed to sense Kyungsoo's presence, as he slowly averted his eyes from the traffic bellow while turning his head to where Kyungsoo stood. Kyungsoo quickly slid his head back in and shut the door quickly before blushing furiously.
"Oh common! Don't be shy, it's not like I'll hurt you or anything." Jongin's laughing voice came from outside.
Hesitantly, Kyungsoo came back out, making sure to pat down his dark hair and shirt before making himself visible. As he looked up to Jongin, who was now leaning on the railings that separated the two porches, Kyungsoo felt another rush of the same feeling he had earlier that day when Jongin first arrived. Jongin tilted his head to the right a little as if to get a better view of Kyungsoo.
"Nice shirt, I have the same one. It's still in one of my boxes though, since I haven't finished unpacking. Wanna come help me?" Jongin asked him with his honey-like voice.
Kyungsoo shyly looked down at his Supreme shirt, blushing a bright pink on his round-ish cheeks. He enjoyed the fact that this gorgeous guy who barely knew him had taken notice on him like this. OK so this really hot guy just asked me to go help him unpack...What do I do?! Kyungsoo automatically began to feel ashamed of himself for fangirling over some guy he didn't know. This Jongin could have a girlfriend for all he could imagine!
Trying to muster up some confidence, Kyungsoo responded, "Sure, I'll help with anything you need."
Jongin smiled sweetly at him, making a new and strange warmth fill his chest. Jongin then cocked his head, beckoning him to come through the front door. Kyungsoo nodded and sprinted to the front door, closing the porch glass door behind him. Before leaving to go help unpack, Kyungsoo quickly entered the entrance bathroom and checked his outfit in the mirror. Jongin had said he liked his shirt, but Kyungsoo wanted to look outstanding so that he could be noticed. God damn it, why am I acting like such a little idiot!? Kyungsoo thought, feeling annoyed with himself. Jongin must have been waiting because Kyungsoo could hear his door open softly. He must've been checking if Kyungsoo was really coming to help.
"I'm coming to Jongin, I-I'm just gonna put on my shoes!" Kyungsoo shouted loud enough to for Jongin to hear him from outside.
Kyungsoo made sure to put on his usual comfy slippers, hoping that Jongin wouldn't judge him. He then ran out to Jongin's apartment, almost tripping over on the corner of his door as he opened it. Kyungsoo hoped Jongin didn't see, but thankfully, he was already inside waiting. Kyungsoo hurried and nervously entered Jongin's door. He was really hoping to receive more compliments about his outfit since it made him all jumpy and happy on the inside when it came from Jongin.
