Birthday (Hayes Grier fanfiction)

Chapter 16

I wake up the next day. I look at my phone, same old notification. I got a text from a couple of my friends asking how I was and what's going on between me and Hayes. I text them back of course but then I see a new text. It's from a unknown number. It said I would watch your little boyfriend of yours. I moved past it and delete it. I need to trust Hayes. I call my mom next .

(M=mom E=Emily)
E: hey mom, how has the planning been?
M: it's been alright, how's California?
E: it's been okay besides seeing Dad like once.
M: I'm sorry he works so much
E: it's fine, I'm used to it
M: well I have to get back to work.
E: okay, love you
M: love you too, I'll call you tonight

I decided to get up and change into some lazy clothes. Today I have to clean before my dad comes back, you think he would have a maid but no. He's never here because he is always on business trips. I know the boys were asleep because it was still very early out.

I change into some leggings, a sweater, and I put my hair in a pony tail then put a hat on. I go downstairs and start working in the kitchen. I first wash all the dishes then wipe down the counters. Then I sweep up the floors and mop them. I then go in the living room and get all the blankets off the ground. While doing this I have my wireless headphones in listening to music. I finally pick everything up and go back into my room and decides to do laundry. I get some of the boys laundry too. I then decided to clean the remaining rooms that don't have guests in them

I finally finish and decided to go outside and get the mail. I see a couple of bills for my dad. I decided I should probably call my dad.

(D:Dad E:Emily)
D:hey sweetie
E:hey Dad, how's the business trip going?
D:it's been good busy. I know I didn't get you a lot for your birthday so I was wondering if you maybe want a dog?
E: Dad omg I would love a dog! Can I go looking for one?
D: of course, just use the credit card I have to you.
E: okay, love you!
D: of course, see you soon I hope! Love you too.

I finished calling my dad and decided to change. I really wanted to get out of the house since the boys were still asleep. I decided to wear a tank-top with a cardigan. Then some black jeans. Some really cute boots. I took my bag and put some makeup. Not a lot. My dad has a driver so I called him and asked if he could drive me to a mall. He said yes of course. 

He picked me up and then drove me to the mall.  I first went to Sephora to get more makeup. I then left to go to get a smoothie. After I got that I need to go look for some shorts so I went to Forever 21. I got some vintage kinda looking shorts. I then decided to call up the driver again and ask him to take me somewhere where I can get adopt a dog. 

He picked me up and we went to the pound. I was walking around for awhile seeing a lot of cute dogs but I didn't see any that felt right. I was on the last area when I saw a cute little dog. It was an Italian Greyhound. He was so cute and small.

I went up to the front desk and asked if I could have hi,m. They said yes of course. They put him in a small carried and carried him up. I had to pay for him then we left. I asked the driver to stop at one of the pet stores so I could get some supplies for him. I got him a collar, a leash, other stuff, then after I paid I got him a name tag thing. I named him Ace. After that we went home. 

The boys were finally awake. I said to all of them "Close your eyes!"

"Why? Is there a surprise?" said Matthew.

"Well yeah, that's why I said close your eyes." I said laughing. I went up and put the  other things I got in to my room. I came down with only Ace.

"Okay, open your eyes in 3,2,1!"

"Omg. You got a dog!" said Hayes. 

A/N

Hey guys. I'm sorry this chapter was kinda boring. I just wanted a kinda fill chapter. It will be better next time. More stuff is to come.
