A/N - Hello! I'm making this one shot with the same prompt Losersandcompany used so, enjoy!

"You are going to take them!" Eddies mother yelled in his face. He had tears streaming down his face as he tried to catch his breath.
This had only happened once before and he had been able to get out of it but this was different. He'd finally had the courage to come out to her just a few weeks earlier and she had taken him to every doctor in the area to find out just what was wrong with her darling son. All of them turned her down until they went to the next town over. He prescribed these pills that made him feel like total shit so Eddie never took them.
Then his mom found out.
"No! I'm not taking them!" He yelled out at her before he was pushed to the ground. He yelped at the sudden impact. Soon enough, his mother was keeping him there with her knee to his chest. He already couldn't hardly breathe but this made it worse. Eddie gasped for air and she poured the pills into his mouth.
Twelve of them fell down his throat
He tried to spit them out but his mother put her hand over his mouth.
"You will take them and you will not complain" She growled as his hands moved to claw at her hand. He couldn't, She'd given him too many, he couldn't take them...
He tried his hardest not to swallow but the bitter taste of the red pills in his mouth made him want to throw up, he couldn't take it. He did as his mother had asked, swallowing the pills and pushing her hand away as she stood.
"Good boy, Eddie Bear" She purred as if nothing had happened, walking back to her chair. He stayed on the floor for a few moments, his brain processing what was happening. He started to feel a bit light headed and a headache beginning.
"Shit" Eddie muttered before stumbling to his feet and running out the door. He knew what was happening. The hospital was too far away to walk and he couldn't go back home...None of the neighbors liked him enough to let him use the phone either...
"Richie" He whispered, He would be his savior. He quickly got his bike and rode a few streets over to Richies house. He lived closest to him out of his friends and he knew he'd know what to do. He had started to feel more light headed and his vision started to go blurry and go black around the edges. He nearly fell off his bike as he stumbled to the door of Richies home and knocked as hard as he could, which wasn't very hard.
Richie opened the door with a small frown, looking over the weak boy in front of him.
"Ed's, you okay?" He asked as his friend collapsed into his chest, a cold sweat matting his hair to his forehead.
"Mom...p-pills...too many" Was all Eddie could gasp out before going limp in Richies arms. Richie started to panic. He couldn't lose his friend, he refused to lose his friend. Richie felt his chest tighten before he picked Eddie up.
"I swear to god, I can't lose you, Ed's" He muttered as he carried the unconscious boy to his bathroom. He didn't really know what to do so he did what he saw in the movies. He sat Eddie in the bathtub and sat next to him, turning the shower on. His hands were shaking as he tried to figure out what else to do. He was shaking because who wouldn't. His chest got tighter and tighter as time went on, shaking more and tears streaming down his cheeks. He was watching his best friend die, who wouldn't be crying? He lightly moved Eddie to be facing the drain and slipped his middle and index fingers into his friends mouth.
"Gross" He muttered as Eddies as fluttered open and he started to heave. He threw up red blobs and whatever he'd eaten in the last day or so while Richie kept his head down so he wouldn't see it. Richie couldn't stop sobbing. His friend almost died. His best friend almost died. The boy he loved more than anything almost died.
"Richie?" Eddie asked after a bit of watching the other. He couldn't stand hearing those sobs any longer, they broke his heart.
"I'm sorry" Richie had whispered before Eddie turned, wrapping his arms around him. The sound of the water hitting the side of the bathtub and each of their bodies reminded Richie of rain. Rain calmed him down. He stopped sobbing after a bit and both boys just held each other. The shower water was cold but they both felt warm next to each other.
"Are you okay?" Richies whispered after a few minutes, neither of them pulling away from their embrace.
"I feel like a raging dumpster fire" Eddie muttered which got a laugh out of Richie. There was comfortable silence.
"I love you, Richie..." Eddie whispered and Richie nuzzled his face in the top of Eddies hair as the other his his face in Richies soaked shirt.
"I love you too, Ed's... and I'm not letting you go..."
