* After the first calmity she had no family and had forgotten her name for a time. When she was found by one of The Bunkers' scouting parties, the leader of the group named her Odin because she was found on Wednesday which he remembered was "Woden's day".

* Woden is old english for Odin.

* The women of her family were völva - female practitioners of Seidr. These were mostly females who had the ability to see the future.
