Ch. 3: Kaede Explains

I came to my senses when Kagome grabs hold onto my wrist. "Geee Umi you ok?"

"Huh?!"

Kagome pouts at me, "I have been calling out your name for the past minute. Are you ok?"

"Ah..." I look back at the wilderness, "Yeah, I just cannot believe where we are Kagome."

Kagome sighed in relief, "Thank goodness."

"Kagome how is it possible that we are here though?"

"Hmmm...I am not sure maybe it might have been the Shikon Jewel Shards."

"The what now?" I look at her oddly.

"The Shikon Jewel Shards, Umi"

I gave her a stern look at her because she is talking to me as if I knew what the jewels were. "I meant what are they!"

"Hahaha, Oh my bad." Kagome sweat drops, almost forgetting that don't know anything about the jewels.

*Ay Yay Ay Kagome. Sometimes you make me wonder what's going on within your pretty little head*

"Well you see the Shikon Jewel Shards are-" At that moment I stopped listening to her because I got those feelings again whereas I just know something is there without seeing it. I felt that feeling coming from behind Kagome. I notice that the bushes began to move. I expected a rabbit to jump out of the bushes, but sadly my expectations failed me. What I mean REALLY failed me! Because I didn't expect a huge monstrous Centipede to pop of the bushes!

"What the Heck is that!?" I yelled. Kagome turns around and was shocked to see it too.

"Oh No! A Demon!"

"WHAT! A Demon!? Kagome, Demons don't exist!"

"Yes they do! In this era they most defiantly do!"

*What! No way! What next?! Don't tell me that they talk too!!* I knew I shouldn't have asked that within my mind because the next thing I knew is that the Centipede demon spoke to Kagome.

"Give me the Shikon Jewels you filthy human."

Kagome grabs hold of the jar that is contained with shiny pink jewels, "Never!"

"Fine then! I'll shall take them by force!" The huge Centipede demon charges at Kagome. I quickly grabbed hold of Kagome and jumped out the way from the attack. The Centipede clashes against the ground.

"Why does that demon want those shiny jewels Kagome?!" The Centipede shakes his head.

"Because they give demons inflicting powers."

"They what?!" I noticed that the demon is once again charging at them. "Agh! Explain this to me later, but for now, RUN!" I picked up Kagome by grabbing hold of her hand as we ran away into the forest.

"Come out, Come out where ever you are....Come on out you filthy humans!" The Centipede crawls around the forest looking for me and Kagome. We are hiding behind a huge tree. I have my hand covering Kagome's mouth as the Centipede passes by us.

"We need to come up with a plan, Kagome" I whispered to her ear, which she nods.

I took a peek out of our hiding spot to see the Centipede slowly crawling away to search another piece of area. *Tsk! What can we do?*

"I just need a bow and arrow."

"What? We don't have any"

"I know woman who does and she doesn't live far away from here. If only I could reach her."
