                                                                            Maia's POV.

Watching Talia fall was one of the scariest moments of my entire life and I'd barely known the girl for two days, She was hurtling through the air but it was almost as if it all happened in slow motion and she looked so graceful and elegant even as she fell, her eyes closed and she seemed to accept this was the end before it even began but I wasn't ready to.

"Cast a spell!" I screamed at the top of my lungs as I leapt forward and Liam grabbed me in a tight lock holding me back determinedly, Louis had scattered to god knows where and Jeorgia was on her feet after him straight away.

"We can't" Diana stated in response as she watched helplessly from where she stood, It wasn't a good enough excuse for me she'd already done about three one more couldn't hurt us, we stood in an abandoned place anyway.

"I swear to god Diana if you think not using magic because of the rules is more important than saving someone's life-" I was cut off in my tracks as Diana lifted her wand and a bolt flew straight past my face and spun dangerously into a whirlwind around Talia, Liam loosend his grip on me a bit as we both watched in awe and Diana shook her head obviously dismayed she had to use magic for this, Jeorgia was still up in the air beside her, power coursing through her veins at high speed, slowly the two of the girls magic combined was lifting Talia to safety but she was still gliding in thin air.

"What is going on here?!" A proffessors voice boomed out, none of us really acknowledged it, The teacher was soon casting a quick spell and Talia was on the ground beside us, she was pale and clearly suffering from major shock, Liam looked at her turning pale himself as he realised just how drastic the fight had turned and I fell onto my knees beside her gently patting her face to check she was still with us, she was barely zoned in to the world we were.

"We have to get her to hospital. Immediately" The woman even sounded punishing now as she struggled to keep Talia awake, I watched as Harold tensed up a bit clearly worried now about the consequences of his actions and Zayn was whispering to one of the emissaries probably informing them on Jeorgia and Louis sudden disappearance. We all agreed and soon had her being carried back to Hogwarts. I sat in the hospital ward with her for what felt like days but it was only really hours. Liam and Zayn checked on me a lot in that space of time, coming in with food and water and informing me on what was going on outside the ward from the gossip to the dangerous punishments we might face and how Harold was already facing his. He seemed to be causing himself suffering more than anything and arguably a lot of people had said that was enough. He hadn't came to see Talia or me, The boys said he was scared to because he blamed himself for what happened and how Talia wouldn't remember much after would only make him feel more guilty, Diana had been a comfort to him whilst my presence was gone and if Harold meant what he said earlier about Talia not being a friend to him he was sure getting worked up now for someone he had no platonic feelings for.

"He doesn't eat anymore and he struggles to sleep, Diana is the only one who can properly reach out to him and understand him at the moment but he hates himself for this, Louis just sits and smirks as it falls apart" Liam was growling the last words out rather menacingly and I came to realise Liam was clearly ready to punch Louis lights out if he had to as well but those two boys had always clashed, what confused me was how he cared even though most of the suffering had happened already and mostly to Talia who he swore was as dangerous as any other slytherin.

"You saved her, not with magic but with yourself, You could've fallen off that cliff and yet you still risked your life for her, a slytherin" I added that part on as if to prove my point more and Liam sat stock still as Zayn nodded clearly intrigued now as well, He hadn't jumped to save her life like Liam had, he hadn't scrambled to keep her holding on like he could've and he was supposed to hate her too.
