"Rebecca was right all along about men... They only care about themselves in the end.." The hybrid thought as he continued to run and run as far as his paws could carry him, which was all the way back to the very same forest from which he had come from earlier. It took a lot of the male's strength not to let tears fall from the corners of his eyes, but he knew that he would break down as soon as he stopped running, so he kept running. There was a sense of familiarity when the soft green grass brushed against the canine's rough paw pads, but this did not stop him from running full speed through the forest, ripping through bushes and leaping over anything from a fallen log to even some stones to make his way to the wooden cabin that he knew as his only home, but his mind was too buzzed to even think logically now - he just wanted to be somewhere where he felt safe and sound. Going out into the human world, it was a terrible, terrible mistake that he had made all on his own. And just to think, he had begged for Beck to be with him only hours earlier, but now he was running from him without even a single care in the world. It was some turn of events, but in this crazy world, anything seemed to be able to happen. From Robin returning to Hyde becoming his brother to even Beck seeing him as nothing now. The world was completely fucked up and he once had known that he had once known that so very well, but like Rebecca when you're in love, you don't think about what bad things could happen in the future. He suddenly understood her so much better, but right now, Henry just wanted to go home. He soon got there, seeing the log cabin in the near distance and with a sudden boost of speed, he ran towards the door, pushing it open and dashing inside, skidding to a halt as he quickly shifted into his human form and slammed the door shut, the sound stinging his sensitive ears as the noise echoed in the empty house. He locked the door with the turn of a switch on the door as he turned away from the door, but stumbled backwards as his back collided with the wooden door and to fell to the ground, his hands shaking as he rested his head on his knees, his hands resting in his hair and over his pointed ears as he just wanted this all to be some dark dream, some awful dream that he had. He weakly tried to convince himself that he was back in the bed, staring at the ceiling. Yes, he had just fallen asleep! That was the case, right? Then why isn't he waking up? He asked himself this over and over and over again until it was a constant echo in his mind. Everything felt so numb.

He was not sure for how long that he just sat there, looking at the floor in utter silence as tears slipped from his eyes and onto the wooden boards until a large crash sounded against the door behind him, making the male jump, but he did not move from where he sat, hugging his knees close to his body as he buried his face into his knees as his ears laid flat on his head as a slightly broken whimper uttered from him. He could hear the knob of the door turning back and forth as it would not let anyone inside. "Henry, open the door!" Beck shouted from outside, his voice becoming just a haunting noise right now as he heard the male's hand knocking on the door, "Goddamnit, I'm sorry... Please, open the door.." The male's voice grew lower and softer as he heard a thud from outside as Beck fell to his knees, resting his forehead against the wood. Henry's fingers dug into his pants as his whole body shook. "Go away!" He snapped, "Go be with your precious friends! After all, you only have an empty apartment to go to anyways!" The hybrid shook his head as tears streamed down his face as he buried his face into his hands. He hated this. He hated this pain. Was this how Rebecca felt when Joseph and Tom hurt her so badly? Is this how she felt inside? It was such a broken, hollow feeling. There was silence from behind the door now for a while and he almost thought that Beck had left, but then his voice returned. "No." He murmured, "No.. I gave up and walked away from Juniper all those years ago, leaving my life behind as I became such a monster and terrible creature. I will not walk away from you, Henry. You are not someone I can just leave." Henry did not answer again after Beck's words trailed off, but his ears twitched when he heard the male get up and walk away, which was ironic within itself. "Typical." The hybrid growled, resting his head in his hands again for a moment before a loud crash sounded from beside him and he yelped as a rock fell onto the floor beside him as the window was shattered on the wall beside the door.

"You're fucking insane!" Henry snapped at the brown-haired male as he climbed through the window, trying his best not to get cut by the broken glass. "And you're honestly surprised by that? Do you know my family? I'm Rebecca's brother, remember? Our whole family is mentally insane, one way or another." Beck mentioned before looking at the hybrid so was cowering by the door with a tearstained face. "Bastard." The canine-hybrid spat, his arms shaking as he buried his head between his knees once more. He could hear the older male walk towards him and sit down on the ground in front of him in silence for a moment or two. "I love you," Beck said, making Henry grow more frustrated at this male. "No, you don't." He said, not moving his head from where it rested, "Rebecca was right. When someone tells you that they love you, there is a possible chance that they don't truly mean it." Beck peered at the smaller male for a moment with a pained expression. "There are many things that Rebecca is right about, that is true, but even she knows that there are some people that mean it when they say that they love her, like you and me." The hybrid could feel himself growing closer to just losing his mind, so he raised a hand to swat or perhaps even slap the male away, but before he could strike the taller teenager, Beck's own hand gripped the hybrid's wrist. With a growl, Henry lifted his head from his lap to glare at Beck with his teeth bared, but Beck only stared at him in silence as he pulled his hand closer to him, placing his lips upon the hybrid's hand in a light, affectionate kiss. "I love you." He repeated, his eyes not leaving his as he said this, "I know that I'm not the kindest person in the world that you've ever met, but I know that I'm better than some. I promise you that I'll never ever leave your side forever." The hybrid's anger was slowly melting into more of a sadness as he looked away from Beck. "Shut up.." He whimpered, more tears running down his face, but he soon felt Beck's hand resting on the side of his face as he wiped the tears away with light brushes of his thumb. "It's okay.." The male spoke softly to him, slowly soothing the hybrid's nerves, "C'mere." He added as he went forward and wrapped his arms around Henry, pulling the smaller male into his lap and holding him close to his chest as he hybrid nuzzled him softly as his eyes stayed shut, fearing of more tears to shed if he were to open them. The taller male held the smaller one close to him as shattered glass laid on the floor around the two of them, resting his chin on top of his head as he softly rocked back and forth, holding Henry with both of his arms so close, so affectionately - that he feared that he would run away and never be seen again if he let go even by a little bit.
