The Truth About Ichigo Kurosaki

Chapter Three: Rei Soriyu's Past and Ichigo's Connection

3000 years ago a girl was born in a castle, into royalty. The King and Queen weren't as normal as the people of the country thought them to be, as they were in fact both outcast from the Soul Society. This girl had fair pale skin, pitch black hair and brilliant blue eyes that even outshined the Queen's eyes. This girl was named Rei Soriyu under the fake last name the two had.

As time went on the girl grew up into a beautiful princess but wasn't ordinary. She would go and get dressed in male battle garments and go out to battle others who were willing to go against her. After this she would also go out to neighbouring villages and help out with all of the farming and stocking and have lunch gathered with all of them.

This wasn't the only abnormal thing the Princess did, but she could also see spirits. She didn't know why she could see them but she smiled and had lovely chats with them, and as time went on she found a way to help them pass on which the spirits were very grateful for. The only thing that concerned her was one day she encountered a hollow that was attacking a young spirit so she went at it but was no match for it, she thought she was going to be killed but that wasn't the case when all of a sudden a 15 year old boy suddenly appeared and dealt with it.

??: You okay there?

Rei: Y-yeah... I'm fine...

The teenager helped the Princess up onto her feet and hugged the young spirit as he ran over to her. She looked at the teenager, he was wearing a battle garment from her parents stories, the Shihakusho, a black kimono with white socks and sandals and he wielded the same blade they talked about too, the Zanpakuto, a specific type of samurai blade that they used, but he had the strangest hair colour of orange. He was a Soul Reaper. He then went to leave, but Rei stepped in.

Rei: Hey. Wait.

??: Hmm? What is it?

Rei: Are you a Soul Reaper....?

The Soul Reaper froze and looked straight at Rei.

??: Yes. Yes I am... How did you know that?

Rei: My parents... They told me stories of people like you.

??: They did? That's odd.

Rei: What's your name?

Ichigo: The name's Ichigo and what might yours be?

Rei: I'm Rei Soriyu... The Princess.

Ichigo: Wait... YOU'RE THE PRINCESS?!?!?

Rei: Eheheheh... Yep that's me the Princess

Ichigo: What is a Princess doing out here wearing that? And wielding a bl- Oh wait you just attempted sav- WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM??!! YOU COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED JUST NOW!!!

Rei: .... I know... but... I don't like being in the castle and I can't just see someone get killed by a monster like what you just killed...

Ichigo: I see...

Ichigo fell silent and Rei looked at him confused but also like she recognised him.

Rei: Hey Ichigo?

Ichigo: Yeah?

Rei: You look... Familiar...

Ichigo: Come to think of it you do too

They both looked at each other for a few minutes then they realised.

Rei: You're the little boy I used to play with...

Ichigo: And you're the little girl I used to play with...

Rei: So you're...

Ichigo: Dead..? Yes...
