Magnus's dorm room was nice, not overly fancy like his father's house, but still nice. Someone had set Magnus's stuff on the foot of his bed, and had also decided to leave a care package next to it with a note. Picking up the note Magnus could see that it had random stenciled hearts in the corners and was written in a beautiful looping scroll.
Welcome to the school! I know this place seems confusing and horrible but I swear to you that it isn't, I just know you'll end up finding a home here just as I have.
P.s. I'll send Jace over to take you to breakfast.
-love, your new neighbor, Isabelle.
Magnus was pretty sure this was Alexander's sister Isabelle, as he had said she was in this building; this would of course be a boon for Magnus as it meant that his gorgeous tour guide would be around more often. Alas, there was still unpacking to do and a building to explore.
It had taken Magnus an entire hour to unpack, which would of course make sense. He had to bring a certain amount of clothes with him on top of the school uniform that is required on certain occasions. On top of unpacking clothes he had decided to call Dot only to have her completely ignore him which was just rude really, he's sent away to a boarding school and suddenly he's the pariah of his New York friend circle. Well whatever, there was an entire building to explore that was filled with possibly far more interesting people than Dot. Magnus poked his head out into the hall before stepping out, the entire hallway was decked out in the same green as the entrance hall; however only one side of the hall had doors on it, the opposite wall was instead covered in paintings and had some random arches that led into little nooks and random snack stations. Walking to the left led him past some rather spotless bathrooms and showers areas, reaching the end of the led him to two doors, one led him to an interesting study area and the other was a dorm room. No one was milling about in the halls or in any of the snack cubbies, the entire place was a ghost town.
Magnus wandered back over towards the stairs, wondering how on earth he was supposed to find his way not only around the school, but just around the building in general when no one was here. At least the hallway was well decorated.
Returning to his room Magnus sat rather dejected on the window bench and look out onto the twisting garden bellow. He hadn't even gotten Alexander's number, lame. This school year was going to be trash, he was by himself in a weird empty school, his friends weren't answering him back, and someone was wandering around creepily in the garden. Magnus frowned and pressed his forehead to the window, someone was definitely walking around outside in the garden. Whoever he was he was creeping Magnus out, Magus quickly stood up and closed the curtains.
There wasn't anyone in the bathroom when Magnus went to brush his teeth, and he still didn't see anyone walking back. Which really just creeped Magnus out even more, especially after seeing that one lone man wandering in between the shrubbery. His room was quiet when he entered and it felt even quieter when he was trying to sleep, no comforting noise of the city to lull him to sleep anymore. It made him sad, and creeped him out a bit; the silence was unsettling. He sighed as he tried to find a comfortable sleeping position, he already had a feeling that this was going to be a long night.
The morning brought Magnus a numb arm and a painful ach in his neck, really the loud beeping of his damned dorm room alarm clock and of course the previously stated pain made him actually happy that there was a school uniform. Shuffling to the bathroom this morning he still didn't run into anyone; however, upon entering the bathroom Magnus saw another student brushing his teeth. The young man was surprisingly intimidating even though he was dressed in loose pajama bottoms and a shirt that said, "screw lab safety, I want super powers!" On it.
"Good morning." Magnus offered in the friendliest voice he could manage in the morning.
"Good morning." The young man echoed, "are you new here?" Magnus had really been hoping that it wouldn't be that obvious, and he was now hoping he hadn't just run into the school asshat.
"Unfortunately." The guy laughed,
"I'm Raphael, and you are?" Magnus felt that sense of dread roll off his shoulders, not the school asshat, thank god.
"Magnus. It's a pleasure to finally meet someone here." Raphael nodded half heartedly as he picked up his stuff,
"This place is a ghost town on breaks, well I'm at the end of the hall if you need anything. It was a pleasure to meet you Magnus."
"And you as well, I'll see you around." With that Raphael was gone, leaving Magnus alone once again.
Wandering down stairs Magnus was honestly wondering where the cafeteria was, or if everyone just ate at the Cafés. Pushing open the entrance hall door Magnus ran directly into someone. Their heads made a skinning crack as they ran into each other, Magnus was lucky enough to be still holding onto the door, the other guy fell hard on his ass.
"Shit sorry, are you alright?" Magnus rushed to help the blonde up,
"Yeah, in a bit of pain sparkles, but otherwise fine." The guy dusted himself off and threw Magnus a smile,
"I was actually sent here to escort the new guy to the cafeteria." Magnus nodded, blondie was hot but not really his type, like at all.
"That would be me." Blondie nodded and glanced around,
"I figured as much, well im Jace. You are?"
"Magnus." Jace nodded,
"Well right this way Sparkles."
"Lead the way blondie."
