For being room 007 it was surprisingly void of James Bond decoration. Instead the room boasted math posters and book selves in an attempt to liven up the dull room.
Students were scattered at the gray tables, most were on their phones a few were actually reading the books off the various book selves. Magnus had ended up next to a girl who's eyes had yet to stray from the book she was reading, her brown hair was pulled out of her face in an intricate looking bun.
"What are you looking at?" Her voice was high and startling,
"Nothing really, just your bun, it's rather intricate isn't it?" Her hand flies up to her hair,
"Thank you, but I didn't do this myself." Magnus leaned forward and rested his chin on his hand,
"I'd love to meet the artist." She smiled and pulled gently on her loose strand of hair.
"Will Herondale, my boyfriend, he's great really." Magnus smiled,
"I'm Magnus, I would be very thankful if you were to pass on my compliments to Mr. Herondale." She laughed and finally closed her book,
"I'm Tessa, and I'm sure Will will be happy to hear that you liked my hair."
Tessa was easy to talk to, they talked about books, the school, and where they came from. She didn't believe him when he said he was from Brooklyn and said she couldn't tell that he was new to the school (she was from London, but she'd been born in Manhattan), this was her first year to the school and she didn't know more than a handful of people.
"So you actually got to eat breakfast with Isabelle Lightwood? Wow, she tends to be pretty exclusive about who she associates with. You must be something special." Magnus shrugged good naturedly, he honestly hadn't realized that it was such a big deal no wonder people had been giving him weird looks.
"She invited me, apparently we're in the same form room." Tessa nodded,
"Raphael is in that building too, which sucks because I'm across campus from him."
"You two are friends?" She nods and sits up from where she had been resting with her head against her palm.
"Sorta, we're not really close, but I also don't have a lot of friends here so there's that." Magnus carefully stowed the information away for later right as the bell sounded, loud and clear through the room. Tessa offered him a smile and a-
"What class do you have next?"
"English" they both stood gathering their stuff,
"I would say that I'd walk you but it appears that someone is already outside." Magnus turned to see what Tessa was looking at only to lock on bright blue eyes,
"Well I'll see you later, Magnus."
"Later" Magnus smiled and walked over to Alexander, who was standing awkwardly in the doorway.
"Did you come to walk me to class?" Alexander shifted nervously and cast his eyes down,
"We have the same class." Magnus hmm'd and linked his arm with his angel,
"Then lead the way."

Ok so I have a lot of things to apologize for:
1. There was only one chapter in December when I promised you guys two, I got really sick through most of Christmas break and it just didn't happen; I'm sorry.
2. This is a short chapter, I usually want to stay around 1000 words but this is roughly 500; stuff has been hectic lately and rather than have it be late I decided I'd rather have it be short. Let me know in the comments if in the future you would want longer chapters later or shorter chapters on time.
3. Things are about to go kinda crazy with school so more chapters might be late/kinda short.I'm so so so sorry guys, but anyways if you liked this chapter star, comment, the works! I love you guys and thank you for reading this chapter of The Academy.
