Looking Deeper

Chapter 2:

       I step out the door, the cool breeze freezing my face. "It's so cold!" I whisper-scream to myself. The weather was colder than I thought. Must've been the year's first cold front. I step down the street, my arm now numb. When I spot, Ivory, lying of the ground drenched in blood. I jump back... I hadn't got much sleep last night, over the sound of my parents fighting. This was probably just a hallucination. I go up to her limp body and scream. I run to her house faster than I had ever ran before. I knock on the door, and ring the door bell too many times to count.
     "Who keeps ringing the doorbell?"
     "Might be a solicitor, or someone who wants to kill us."
      "Maybe... I'll keep an eye on Ivory... Where's Ivory?"
     "I don't know, I'm going to answer now."
      I frantically knock, I pray that her mom or dad answers soon. The door opens. "I saw your daughter, lying in a pool of blood on Stranotrious St." Tears running down my face, I saw something that I would've never wanted to see.
      "Oh my god." Mrs. Camille was frozen in her tracks.
      "I know it may sound crazy, but I swear."
     "Lead me there." Mrs. Camille says, still in shock. We take off running to Stranotorious St. I feel like she kind of didn't believe me. We finally make it to where I saw her corpse. But all there was was a large crimson liquid. "Is this my baby's blood?" She asks, tears fill up her eyes.
     "I wish I can say I'm going to be lying... but I think so..." I say. Mrs. Camille falls down, I awkwardly stroke her hair, my hand limply falling as it caresses her head. "I'm so sorry for your loss. She was such an amazing friend." I maybe shouldn't have said that, because that just made her cry louder.
      "Thank you for telling me." She says, not in a sobbing voice. Her voice was very cold. "You can go home."
      "Ok, I hope she's found, and ends up safe and sound." I quietly added.
     "Ok." She sounds aggravated. I start walking home, to leave her to her thoughts.
