"You've got to be kidding me," I laughed with my hand over my mouth as Liam and I ate.
"Not even kidding. Dad really made me leave my first concert because they said 'Fuck Queen'. My poor little thirteen year old self had to leave because my dad got a offended when they insulted Queen."
I laughed at his short story.
"That's awful, I'm sorry," I giggled and took a sip of my water.
"You're telling me," he muttered playfully. I lightly kicked his shin under the table. He grinned and kicked me back. I returned his kick childishly.
"What are we? Five?" I laughed as we played footsie.
"You started it," he snorted. I gave him a look.
"Defiantly five."
Liam paid for lunch, I didn't argue. I still needed to cash my paycheck.
"When did you get a new phone?" Liam wondered.
I glanced down at my new iPhone.
"Um, a week ago or so. Right after I got back from the States."
"Yeah? Why?"
I looked at him, hating the sudden turn on conversation.
I groaned. "You ask too many question. You're going to ask a question one day and get an answer you don't want to," I told him and pushed his shoulder lightly as we walked.
He chuckled. "Is that so?"
I nodded and brushed a stray hair back. "Yup."
We continued a light conversation until he asked where we we're suppose to meet the realtor.
"Um, let me check the address. I know it's somewhere around here."
"So? You think you'll like the apartment?" He asked.
"On with questions now are we?" I laughed making reference to my semi-serious statement earlier.
"But yeah, I hope I like it. I really need to get out of Dmitri's hair. I think he's sick of me," I grinned.
"I doubt that," Liam reassured me.
"Yeah, I was right. It just around the corner and we are three minutes late already."
We made out way up the realtor in silence after having to run to the complex. Liam and I were still sharing goofy grins since we nearly caused a taxi wreck after darting across the busy street without looking. Oops.
The realtor lady was old. She kind of looked like a crow. Tall and rail thin and with a inhumanly big nose and flat lips coated in lipstick much to dark for her fair complexion. She was dressed in all black and her graying brown hair was pulled back so tightly it probably smoothed out a few wrinkled on her forehead.
"Here it is," she snapped. We walked out, staying side by side as she opened the door to the apartment. I stepped in a glanced around.
I expected cold white walls but instead greeted by warm cream walls and one lone brick wall, giving a nice flare to the room. It as small but the big window in both the living room and and kitchen flooded the floor space with natural, cloudy England light. A small couch and recliner sat in the living room and bookshelf where the TV should be. The kitchen wasn't much, just the basics with a small breakfast area with a cute wire table and two chairs.
I stepped into the bathroom which was basic also but lots of counter space and a decent sized tub and shower. I was slightly excited for the bathroom. Even simple and basic, the apartment was charming and flared with life to me.
The bedroom was slightly bigger than the living room, a small surprise. A nice queen size mattress sat inside a dark wood frame that matched the rest of the room. A large vanity mirror sat on a big dresser.
I turned to Liam who was glancing around curiously.
"What do you think?" I asked excitedly.
"It's nice, I suppose. It's a bit small."
I shrugged. "It's perfect. I'll be the only one here and it's so nicely decorated. Oh my god, Liam, I love it."
He smiled alongside my enthusiasm.
"Good, go get the papers for it. Crow lady is standing outside."
I sighed. "I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed."
After an hour of discussing and maybe a bit of arguing, I signed the lease and it was mine. I could almost see the evident frown of the ladies face.
As soon as she closed the door, I stood up and hugged Liam tightly.
"Oh my god!" I squealed.
"It's all mine!"
He laughed and hugged me back, lifting my feet of the ground and spinning me in circles.
"I have to call mom," I breathed and pulled out my phone.
I dialed her number without thinking about it. I got more excited over the news as the rings wore on.
"Hello?"
"Mom! Guess what?!" I squealed excitedly into the speaker phone.
"What is it baby girl?"
"I just got my own apartment. I have the keys in my hand and all!" I jiggled the keys to prove my ownership.
"Really? That's awesome baby girl! Tell me what it looks like," she told me.
And I did, Liam was sitting beside me at my, new, cute wire table beside the small balcony.
"That sounds so cute! You'll have to send my pictures later, okay?"
"Okay, momma."
"Oh! Before we hang up, just a few days ago a boy came to our front door looking for you. He flew all the way to see you but you were already back in England," she said.
I was curious because the first person that came to mind was Kristain. Surely, it wouldn't be him but my mind couldn't help but wonder.
"For the love of God, I can't remember. Hang on let my go ask Tammy for his name."
I heard mom yell her question but someone answer but not enough to understand them.
"Oh right! The boys name was Harry."
I froze. I could feel Liam stiffen from beside me.
"Hang on," I cut her off from her next sentence and quickly stood up. I took it off speaker and darted out of the room and in the the hallways and to the elevator.
"Wait," I said with a shaky breath. "Who?"
"His name was Harry, are you okay honey?"
I ignored her question.
"Did he say where he flew from?"
"He did, it was from England. Do you know him?"
"Did he say why he was there? Why he was looking for me?" I asked quickly.
"Um, something about talk to you about something. I'm sorry I can't be more help. I can't remember who answered the door when he knocked. I'm so sorry baby girl but I have to go. I'll call you tomorrow okay? You go enjoy your apartment."
We said our goodbyes and I quietly stood by the elevator with shaky breaths and wobbly knees.
I made my way back to my apartment and found it empty. There was small note on the counter.
Sorry. I had to go.

Harry's Point of View
••••••••••••••••••••I couldn't be happier to be back in a familiar area, particularly my bed. I was just dosing off when my phone blared. I jumped and snatched it angrily.
"What?" I barked.
"Who the fuck do you think you are?" I hear a voice growl from the other end. It took me a moment to process who it was.
"Liam?"
"You thought you could try and fly to Texas and gain her heart didn't you?"
I scratched my head, I was so tired. Jet lag was kicking my ass.
"What?"
"Cut the shit. You know what I'm talking about. You flew to Texas, why?" He snapped. I've never heard him so mad before not even when he found out I had fucked his little girlfriend, Arianna.
"What does it matter to you? Maybe I was going to see your little Arianna." I knew that strike a nerve.
"You better watch your mouth Styles."
I rolled my eyes even though he couldn't see me.
"Yeah sure, well, I need to go. Arianna is texting."
"It is Andrea," he seethed. "But you stay away from Rose."
Anger ignited within me.
"Stay away from Rose? Why is that?" I mocked him. Nothing would keep me away from Rose. It's not like she was his for the taking.
"She doesn't need you or want you for the matter. She's better off and personally, I would like to see lots of suffering on your part."
"It sucks doesn't it?" Liam continued. "Watching another man take what you've always wanted? Isn't it horrible?"
I froze. What did he mean by that?
"What the fuck does that mean asshole?"
I heard a cruel laugh. "You know exactly what."
I stood up from my bed in a flash.
"I swear to god, I'm going to find you and I'm going to beat the fuck out of you if you touched Rose."
"Why? Isn't that what you did to Arianna?" He spat.
I growled through the phones speaker.
"Don't fucking mess with me, you'll regret it."
"I don't think I will. By the way, the strawberry lip balm is really a nice touch."
The line went dead.
