My Calico: Serendipity | PJM

I was left alone, on the streets, with no where to go. It's dark, it's cold, and the only place that I can be out of the streets is on someone's door stop. But everyone just kicks me off the curb. I guess I have to leave soon...

I got up and hung my head low, about to step off, I heard footsteps. When I looked at the owner of these footsteps, he smiled at me. He put his bags down, I backed up and felt a bit scared at first, but then he picked me up.

He held me in his arms and patted my head. "What are you doing here little one..?" He said softly and held me up to look at my features.

"Your so cute!" He chuckled. "Can I take you home?" He asked, I was still confused, but I felt warm and secure in his arms, so I just purred.

He held me gently with one of his hands and grabbed his bags, opening a door into his house?

'Why are you letting me into your home?' I meowed.

He set his belongings down and sat on the couch with me in his lap. My ears perked up and tail flicked as he asked me, "Are you hungry little one?"

I meowed in response and he smiled, patting my head once and set me down on what he was previously sitting on. "Stay here, I'll be back shortly." He said and left me.

I was unsure and I felt scared when he left, 'don't leave!'

So I followed him, running to his feet around the huge objects around his house, I finally reached him. He was holding a small bowl and I lightly clawed onto his leg with my paws.

"Oh?" He looked down, "I told you stay on the couch." He chuckled, finishing what he was doing, "Follow me." He simply said and jerked his head to the direction he was going towards.

I followed him quickly, he came back to his couch and set the bowl down by the couch. Picking me up and setting me down by the bowl, "Eat up, I'll wait for you." He smiled and walked away.

'I'm so hungry... do I really deserve this..?'

I tilted my head and went to sniff the object, whatever it was it smelled really good, so I took a bite to try it.

'What is this..? It's so good! It's soft, chewy, and delicious.'

My tail wavered from side to side, I was happy and satisfied. I gobbled up what I could and laid on my side for how bloated and full I was.

'I ate so much... this was worth it...'

"Someone must have been hungry?" He squatted down to my level and tilted his head, sneering at me.

'What? I was hungry..' I meowed.

He rubbed my belly as my tail flicked at his action, "cutie." He smiled, then gently picked me up with both of his hands and sat in the couch again. "What should I call you..." he mumbled.

I myself didn't know what my name was. I never had one, and I was left alone, I feel as if I don't really exist. He held me up and gave me a good look, "Lets give you a name." He eyed me and thought, "Do you like Serene?" He asked.

My ears flopped down and I was unsure of that name. "Hmmm." He paused, "I'll call you Serendipity, how do you like it?"

My ears perked up and I meowed happily, 'I love it! But... I don't know your name.'

He smiled at my reaction and scratched behind me ears as he put me in his lap, his gentle touch was warm and I felt somehow safe. I think maybe he can be the one..? I hope he doesn't let me go like the others.

"Well, now that you've gotten a name and ate pretty well, it's late. Let's go to sleep hm?" He said softly and held me in his arms carefully and walked into another dark room. It was scary so I clung onto his shirt with my small paws. Then the lights turned on, he set me down on his huge bed and left for a few minutes.

I didn't know what he was doing, but I do remember hearing water. After a few minutes he turned off the lights which had me worry a little since I'm still not used to being in his home now. Then he lied down next to me and gently played with my ears.

"I'm Jimin." He smiled, "I'll take care of you." He said as his eyes closed.

'Jimin... it suits him.'

I felt cold after a little while so I slowly crawled my way towards him, against his warm shirt, wrapping my tail around myself, falling asleep. I felt safe, I felt like I had someone who cared about me, I felt like I had a home.

A/n: Hey guys! I haven't really had experience writing like this, but I wanted to give it a shot, she where this takes me lol. It's kind of weird to write from a cats perspective to be honest, but it's new and fun for me.
