What If? (Zouis Talik)

(A/N) Hello! I have been reading quite a few Zouis stories and I thought they were great so here is my take on their relationship. Enjoy and please feel free to comment :-) Constructive critisism welcom<3

Zayn POV

We just got back from our tour and we were all still on a major high as we burst through the doors at Louis' and Harry's flat. 'We just finished a world tour!!!' Harry yelled.

'Yeah buddy!!!!' Niall joined in cheering. Just then Liam got of his phone and got up on the table. We all stared at him like weirdos. 'I have a big announcement!' He said smiling from ear to ear. 'What is it? Does it involve carrots?' Louis asked getting excited. I loved the way he goofed of. Yes I said it, I love him....Well at least I think I do, I have never had these kinds of feelings towards a guy before and to be honest having to hide these feelings from the lads for the last couple of months has been killing me. I am just so confused, but of course I knew he didn't feel the same way. I mean for crying out loud he isn't even gay!

My thoughts were interrupted as Liam revealed the big announcement. 'Sorry Lou, no carrots this time but management has agreed to give us a couple of months off!!!' We all cheered loudly. We hadn't had time off in ages!

Louis POV

Time off!!!! I was so excited. I looked around as the lads cheered at the great news. As my eyes hit Zayn I felt a pang of longing. I didn't know for sure but I think I was turning gay for him. It was ridiculous since he isn't gay and probably could never feel the same but I couldn't help it! He was just so........amaZayn.

Niall, Liam and Harry had decided to go out and celebrate but after Zayn said no thank you I decided that this could be a good opportunity for me to sort out my feelings. We were sitting on the couch, me watching TV and Zayn tweeting. I looked over his shoulder as he tweeted.

@ZaynMalik - Management has given us some time off! We absolutely loved seeing you fans on tour but we are so tired right now, a break will do us all good. Love you<3

He posted the tweet then closed his laptop and turned to me, I looked in his eyes and got totally lost.......'LOUIS!!!!' I snapped out of my day dream as Zayn waved his hand in front of my face. 'Oh, sorry kinda drifted of for a sec. Guess I'm over tired, what did you say?' I felt relief rush over me as Zayn bought my excuse. 'I just asked if you wanted to watch a movie or something but if you're tired that's fine,' he said with a small smile tugging at his lips. 'No, a movie sounds good! How about Avengers?' I asked. He nodded and put the DVD in.

Just as the movie started I turned to Zayn, I had to tell him. 'Zayn, I um have something to, err, say.' I said nervously. He turned to me expectantly, 'Yes Lou,' He smiled. 'I umm,...... It's just that err,' damn I couldn't do it. So I grabbed his iPhone and made up a lame excuse. 'I stole your phone!' I said and got up to start running as he chase me. 'Give it back!' He yelled while chuckling. 'No way!' I laughed back at him.

Zayn POV

'Give it back or,....or.....or I'll kiss you!' Louis yelled. I froze. Did he really mean that or was he joking? Maybe he felt the same after all. I had no clue so I yelled back the one thing I could, 'Try me!' He stopped running and looked at me. His green/blue orbs looking straight into mine. He took a couple of steps closer. We were now only inches apart. My heart started racing as my body filled with lust for just one thing....Louis. He tilted his head a little and brushed his lips against mine. Was this really happening? Was my fantasy about to become reality. I put my hand on his waist. I knew then and there that if I wanted to sort my feelings towards Lou out, I had to kiss him properly. I leaned in and our lips connected, but instead of rejecting me like I thought he would, Lou put his hands on my neck and pulled me closer. He started walking backwards towards his room, pulling me with him without disconnecting our lips.

That was the moment it all became clear......I was in love with Louis William Tomlinson. He pulled me into his room and I kicked the door shut behind us. As we reached the bed I softly pushed him down.

Louis POV

Our lips moved in sync as we laid on the bed kissing, there was no doubt in my mind now. I was gay for Zayn Malik. After a while he pulled back and we looked each other in the eyes. 'Does this mean what I think it means?' He whispered. 'Will you be my boyfriend?' I asked. That seemed to answer his question. 'Yes,' He smiled. I connected our lips one more time before we decided to go and watch the movie so the lads didn't come home to catch us in the act. 'What do we tell the lads?' I asked Zayn. 'How about we see how it goes before we tell them? I mean we are both so new to this and we don't want to share it with anyone else before we are sure about how we feel about it first.' Zayn said. I agreed with him fully, I mean this relationship should be ours, not the whole world's. So I smiled and said, 'that's a really good idea, now let's watch The Avengers!' He nodded happily and we sat down on the couch again.

Thank God we stopped when we did because a few minutes later the boys came home. They plopped down on the couch and watched the movie with us. Though it was harder than we though it would be too keep our hands off each other. But with the boys watching we couldn't risk it so we settled for holding hands under a blanket so no one saw. Even this small gesture felt so right, it's like our hands were delicately modeled to fit together like two pieces of the same puzzle.
