I still could not push Dad's voice off my head, "Go to her.." It's ringing in my head. I ran off to mom, I gave her a big hug. I think she knew that I was leaving. She kissed me on the forehead, and I hugged her again.
I rushed to Dad, and notice the scepter in his hand. This is it. That's my ticket back to earth.
A few seconds more, and I saw flashing bright lights all over, that I had to close my eyes. Guess where I am now? Back in earth. Where I belong. I looked down, and saw a big sign on the ground. It looked like it was carved on the ground, smoke were everywhere.
While the smoke slowly faded, I saw the house. I was at the backyard, I ran to the front porch. I had a smile on my face, guess that's where I'll be staying for a while.
I thought back, then I ran to Terese's house. She is going to be so surprised, now that we've grown up, and I have this ridiculous accent now. I was so fond of speaking like this with dad, that I got caught with it. Don't feel weird about it, Its what I'm supposed to sound like. I got taller too, and my skin went a lot pale. The environment around Vanaheim is really different scientifically. It was cold there.
..obviously.
I finally saw her house, I stopped for a while. Trying to catch my breath. Then I ran to her front porch. There were some changes made in her house, it was kind of modern now.
I knocked on the door, panting. "Terese?" I called for her.
..and what surprised me was that, there was a different face that I just saw. She was old, I thought that it was her mother, but didn't even look like her, I asked anyway.
"My apologies.. But where is Terese?" I asked her.
She looked at me, like I was some awful stranger. "I do not know who you're talking about." She protested. I didn't like her expression.
I chuckled softly, "Ma'am, you do know Terese Gordon, right?" I repeated, "She's the daughter who lived here?"
"Oh." She stepped closer, "The Gordons? Her mother died a few years ago. We just moved in a few years ago too! Ha!" She chuckled.
"Do you know where they live now, Ma'am?" I sighed.
She raised her eyebrow, "Well," She frowned, "Why do you think I care?"
I looked down, hopeless. I didn't know that they would move out. I have no idea now.
"..but let me tell you." she spoke, "Some neighbors had told me.. that her only daughter? now lived helpless alone in a building in the city! the 'heights galluptious' I think?" she nodded. "Yeah, that."
I glanced back at her, "Thank you!" I smiled.
"Wait," She stopped me, "Why are you looking for her?"
I just gave her a smirk and ran off.
I ran again, as fast as I could. Glad that the city was just a few blocks away.
I saw the building. I ran in, but one of the men in the lobby stopped me.
"Sir? Excuse me, Sir?" He called.
"Yes?"
He stepped out of the counter, and stood in front of me. "How may I help you?"
"I need to see Terese Gordon, where is her room?"
He looked down on my foot then up at my face. He had that disgusted look.
"I'm sorry. I cannot tell you that information, sir. But you can wait for her to come."
"No-"
He shook his head, "I am so sorry sir." He raised his eyebrow, "That information is private. Please, just wait there and we can just call you-"
A woman had a quick glance on me while she entered the building, she cocked her head and finally looked closely. She stopped walking and called for my name, "Narvi?" she spoke softly.
I looked at her, and I was pretty sure that it was her.
She looks so beautiful. Much beautiful than I last saw her.
"Terese?" I walked up to her.
She was staring at me, frozen, "I- I-" she stuttered,
I gave her a smirk, "It's me."
A smile crept on her face and she just jumped on me and hugged me tight. I hugged her back, tighter. I missed her so much. After years of living in Asgard, here we are now.
"You -you did come back for me!"
"I told you." I stared into her eyes.
Soon enough, I plant my lips on hers. Finally, I got to kiss her once more. It was a deep, passionate kiss.
"H-how?! And.. Why are you wearing that-" She paused looking at me, "Oh yeah."
I chuckled at her response and just hugged her tight, "Are you gonna leave again?" she asked. I shook my head, "No. This time, I won't leave you."
"But, your parents?"
"Terese," I pause, "They agreed. And I know they'll be watching." I smile, "Just like what my Father did, he fought for love."
