"Hey, baby," Mingyu pressed his lips to your ear, reaching around your waist and stealing you away from the kitchen, "you should sit down."

You had had the cookbook splayed open on the kitchen counter, seeking a recipe to celebrate another successful concert. Mingyu turned you around and lifted your chin, seeking out your eyes.

"Mingyu-ah, you worry too much about me," you muttered softly. He hummed in reply, settling his arms around your waist and lifting you against him in a warily-tight embrace. He released you to press a thumb to your cheek, tugging on the free strands of your hair and brushing them behind your ear.

Even after so long, after feeling the same touch from the same man countless times, it still made your skin tingle.

"Of course, jagi, because you're carrying my baby," he said almost nonchalantly. You smiled shyly — he reflected your smile with a similar expression, his fingers slipping down your sides.

"Go on and rest. I'll make us some instant ramen," he ordered and you pouted, crossing your arms over your chest.

"But we should celebrate," you complained, "we always do. Instant ramen isn't very special."

He met your disappointment with a hesitant frown, his teeth sinking into his bottom lip. Cupping the back of your head, he drew you towards him to skirt his lips across his forehead.

"We'll cuddle for a bit, jagi. Will that make it special enough?"

You were not ridiculous enough to reject that offer and nodded curtly. Mingyu sent you off with a second kiss, this time to the lips, and you ambled into the lounge to watch television until dinner. You were surprised when Mingyu entered balancing two bowls of ramen, glancing up at you meekly, when you had instead been waiting for his call to the dining room.

"I thought we could eat in here tonight," he suggested, though it was closer to a question than it was to a suggestion.

You only gestured for him to join you on the sofa. You placed the bowl in your lap and he sat beside you, pressing his shoulder to yours. There was a comfortable, shared silence until you both finished your meals. He set the dishes on the floor, muttering that he would wash them later.

A drama was playing and with nothing better you left it on. Mingyu drew you as close as he could, hugging an arm around your shoulder. It took only fifteen minutes for him to grow distracted.

His palm flattened against the inside of your thigh, beginning close to your knee and gradually progressing toward somewhere a little more intimate.

"Aish," you said, quieter than intended and so it sounded as if his touch had weakened you, "cut that out and just watch the drama." A low chuckle rumbled in his throat — he withdrew his hand but his nose buried in the crook of your neck affectionately and that was certainly not assisting your fight against arousal.

"I love you. I love you so much, (f/n)."

You grinned giddily.

"Love you too, jagi."

The hand he had removed shifted to cup your cheek. His eyes fell to your lips, pressing his to yours in a gentle yet daringly hungry kiss. The pair of you together let it remain, he steadily laid you down and deepened the kiss. Your arms were doing nothing so you rested them loosely over his shoulders.

He lingered, halting only when he had to, and broke the kiss to breathe. You realised it had been far too long since you shared that kind of closeness. Ever since you pregnancy, it had been almost as if he was restraining himself.

"I love you."

You giggled, playfully pecking the tip of his nose.

"You mentioned," you teased. He fixed you with a stare and you knew he was waiting for you to return his affections.

"Yes, of course I love you too."

He revealed his rows of perfect white teeth in an overjoyed, pleased grin and drew you into an eskimo kiss, his dark eyes filled with bright emotion mesmerising you.

"Good."
