"Minghao," you called softly, shaking him from his sleep, "are you thirsty?"

You placed the bottle of water in his possession, which the air hostess had just handed you. He raised his head from your shoulder dazedly and thanked you, swallowing the water.

"How long has it been?" Minghao inquired, he was still half-awake and his cheek fell back against your shoulder. You reached down and drew an arm around him, feeling the urge to protect the adorable male at your side.

"Half an hour. Less than two hours now," you replied. He nodded, shifting a little to get more comfortable in your arms.

He hummed, "are you nervous?"

"Yes," you mumbled, chewing on the inside of your lip, "very much." He reached up and affectionately traced your cheek, smiling.

"Don't be." Often he comforted you simply – though he'd told you he was sure that his skills were lacking you though the brief statements were the best at calming your nerves.

"Do you want to run through your Chinese again?" He offered. You nodded; he had taught you basic sentences and words, enough to help you through the meeting and if you needed it over the week. It was difficult, and you were not at all confident about it, so he also promised to translate for you when he could.

"Hello, my name is," he started in Chinese, you repeated it smoothly as this was one you'd practiced well.

"Nice to meet you," again, he said this in Chinese and you copied.

Minghao smiled, he was enjoying teaching you. He leant over and kissed you briefly, stroking your hair.

"I can't wait to show you places. I want this to be fun."

You returned his smile, "I know, me too. Thank you for bringing me with you. Can we keep practicing?"

He nodded. This time he said something, you recognised and translated "I," but you did not understand the rest of it. You furrowed your brow.

"I don't know that one. Did you teach it to me?"

He shook his head, you pouted, "how am I meant to know it then?" He grinned at you, and you thought there was a hint of cheekiness to that grin.

"I think it's important you know it," he replied.

You repeated the statement as best you could, though you might have mispronounced it and Minghao fixed it.

"What does it mean?"

He was still smiling.

"I love you."
