~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*It was a calm, peaceful morning in the forest just past Konoha when a blur of (h/c) whipped past in the sea of trees. The girl stood catching her breath behind one of the many trees. She soon heard the steps of pursuers and took off once again, running for her life.
~~{Your Pov}~~
I finally slid to the ground, exhausted, but having thankfully lost the Jonin hunting me. I used a Jutsu to cover up my chakra just in case they found me - which they have a good chance of doing.
Why are they after me, you ask?
Well, let me start with an introduction. My name is (Y/n)(L/n) and I am a ninja in the village of the hidden leaf.
I consider myself to be a pretty strong ninja and so does the rest of the village - especially after winning in a match against team seven, four to one. Oh yeah, I also have the ability to transform into a fox when in true danger. It was a special move I created myself. But that's sorta what got me into this whole mess.
Now, let's get this over with and say that I'm not an orphan. My parents are alive and well and we have a generally good relationship. So don't go thinking that any of this is because of them.
Now, back to the reason I'm running for my life.
I'm one of the strongest ninja there and I was messing around with a new Jutsu I made up and, of course, I was too cocky to see it getting out of control and almost destroyed the village and everyone in it. But that's beside the point. The problem is that I accidentally made it seem like I did it on purpose. Whoops! And now the Hokage sent some of their best Jonins to hunt me down for being a rogue.
"Dammit!" I said under my breath.
I realized that I should probably get moving if I wanted to have a place to stay further away from the village. I slowly got to my feet and slightly cringed at the pain in my calf. I looked down to see a small gash running down my leg. It wasn't very deep, but it was throbbing with pain. I must've gotten hit by one of the kunai thrown by the ninja, but had so much adrenaline that I didn't feel it. I wasn't entirely sure what to do so I started limping my way through the maze of forest. I came upon a large clearing with a small lake in the middle.
It was calming, but almost too much so. I had a strange feeling I was being watched. I looked around... Nothing. Hmm, I'll be on my guard.
~~{Kisame's Pov}~~
I looked at the fragile looking (h/c) haired girl in front of me.
This is the one leader-sama wants? She is kinda pretty though... No! Stop! Stay on task Kisame! She's so weak looking though. Maybe she's stronger than she seems? Let's see.
I slowly sneaked up behind the bushes to conceal myself and made my chakra nearly invisible. I looked away for a split second and suddenly I turn back to attack her, only to find her gone! I look around confused and see a small red fox with a (f/c) diamond on its back. It disappears and I look back to see the girl again!
What the Hell is this?!
~~{Your Pov}~~
I tried really hard to hold in my laughter as the strange man(?) looked around, confused and angry.
I looked around as innocently as I could and said,"Hello? Is anyone there?"
The man let out a small, annoyed sigh. He probably thinks this is going to be an easy fight. Ha! We'll see about that!
~~{Kisame's Pov}~~
I realized when she spoke up that this was just going to be an easy capture and that leader was probably looking for information and would kill her after. I slowly made my way towards her and came up behind her.
Just as I was about to grab her, she whipped around and punched me in the face and then my stomach, knocking me to the ground. She transformed into the red fox and then changed into a fox human hybrid with only two quick -yet complex- hand movements. She had her lengthened claws at my throat and her eyes had turned a shimmering shade of (f/c). It was then I saw the reasons behind finding this ninja. I know one thing though, I'm not letting her beat me this easily.
~*~Timeskip to end of fight~*~
~~{Your Pov}~~I stopped, and so did he as we caught our breath, once again. We were pretty evenly matched, but I refuse to go without a fight. The man looked over at me and said, "Good fight. Want to call it a draw?"
I must've looked as utterly confused and surprised as I felt because he burst out laughing. "Aren't you here to beat me and kidnap me?" I asked, shocked at his approach.
"Well..." He started. "I was planning to, but this seems to be going nowhere." He said with a slight chuckle, gesturing to the two of us. "So, I'll just ask. Do you want to join Akatsuki? We could really use another person with your kind of power and diligence."
I contemplated this. It's not like they want me back there in the village anyway, so who cares? "Sure, why not? My name's (Y/n) by the way. (Y/n)(L/n)."
"It's a pleasure, the name's Kisame." He said in response. "So follow me, I'll take you to the Akatsuki hideout and your new home." Kisame said. And then, we were off.
