Guiding Through Memories

Untitled Part 1

Vin and Arsenius were living normal lives together for four years after confessing their feelings to each other. Well, as normal as they could with their given powers. Everything was perfect for them, taking out demons here and there, until one day everything changed...

They were just doing what they normally did when all of a sudden a huge swarm of demons appeared out of nowhere. There were thousands of them, flying and crawling all over the place, devouring anything they could find. Both Arsenius and Vin could take out a few handfuls of demons with no trouble at all, but they soon realize they couldn't take them out all at once because once one was destroyed, about five took the demon's place. So they decided to go to Arsenius's home, and they fought tons of demons along the way, and it felt like ages has passed until they got there. The demons just kept coming...

Once they finally reached Arsenius's home Vin was immediately struck by a raging headache, making him crumple to his knees, clutch his head with both hands and squeeze his eyes shut. Arsenius went to Vin's side immediately and knelt down, very concerned about his love.

"Vin, what's wrong?" His voice was thick with worry.

The raging headache finally ceased enough for Vin to open his eyes, look up at Arsenius and speak only four words: "My destiny has arrived."

"What do you mean your 'destiny has arrived'?" Arsenius asks as his face scrunched up with confusion. Arsenius was very confused by his words, but Vin had no time to tell him what he meant when a hoard of demons broke in, claws and fangs bared. Vin stood up from where he was and destroyed the demons with a single arrow. His power was stronger than before, and the demons didn't regenerate this time. Arsenius was even more confused, Vin has never been able to accomplish such a feat before...

Breathing out a sigh, they ran out of Arsenius's ruined home and see hundreds of thousands of demons. They ran and fought until they reached to an ancient looking building. They entered the building and Vin spread his arms, letting a bright light surround him and fill him with an even stronger power. A few seconds after Vin heard a pained scream, making him whirl around to see where the scream came from. To his horror he saw Arsenius being attacked and mortally wounded.

"NO!"

Vin rushed towards his wounded love and knelt down besides the unconscious man. He was barely breathing and had a gaping hole in his chest. Tears that were gathering in Vin's eyes began to stream down his cheeks. He knelt down and gave him a tender kiss on his lips, then used his newfound powers to send him to Resurrection Peak, a place where Arsenius would sleep hundreds of years and heal from his wounds.

"I'll wait for you... and I love you," Vin tells his lover before he disappears completely. "Be safe."

After Arsenius disappears to Resurrection Peak, Vin closes his eyes and gains angel wings, then took off to fight The Calamity. All by himself...

Over nine hundreds years pass.

Arsenius groans and stirred a little until he cracked opened his eyes. Extremely groggy, he rubbed his eyes as the magic around him dissipates, then sat up and looked around. He wasn't sure what he awoke to since he was alone in a dark place, but he was sure he woke up to something. It took him a few minutes for him to realize he could barely remember anything. Where was he? How did he get here? <i>Why</i> was he here? He decided to walk through the strange dark place. Maybe he'll find a way out. A few minutes pass and he found light. He walked through what appears to be a cave entrance and enters a whole new world where he barely remembers.

"Arsenius! Finally you're awake!"

Arsenius jumped when he heard a distant sounding voice in his head. He whirled around again and again, but just could not find the source of the voice. What in the world was going on?
