I heard a knock on my door and I knew it was Ross. I could hear my heart beating really fast I reach put my sweaty palm and open the door to see Ross standing there with a cute smile and some books in his hands.
"hi come in" I greeted with a smile
"nice house" ross says
"thanks let's go sit" we went and sit on the couch and my father came down the stairs and gave Ross an dirty look then gestured for me to come over but I ignored him.
"so where should we start?"
"um...wherever" Ross answers
just then my father came in
"hello I'm Mr.marano Laura's father"
"hello sir I'm Ross lynch" Ross says politely
"when's your birthday?" my dad asks
"December 29?"
"hey mine is November 29!" I say excitedly
"year?" dad asks
"1998" (16)
"dads what's with all the questions?"
"just making sure my baby girl's OK"
"dad I'm not a child" I roll my eyes
"OK see you" waves dad
"*giggles* sorry about him" I apologize
"nah its fine shall we start"
"we shall" I smile
*after 30 minutes of working*
"you hungry?" I ask
"yeah a little"
"I'll make a snack"
I got up and went to the kitchen and my dad was standing there
"did you tell him?"
"tell him what?" I ask as I got out a package of popcorn
"about the curse?"
"no" I lie
"good"
"dad I'll tell him when I trust him"
"or not tell him at all"
"dad!"
I stick the popcorn in the microwave and wait till it beeped then went into the living room to see Ross
"you heard the whole conversation?" I ask
"yep" he giggles
we worked for another hour and we talked about our lives and made jokes I kinda like him and I know he likes me but we could never go out it would be very complicated and in fact impossible relationships require at the lowest hand holding and we can't even do that.
*the next day*
I put on a yellow shirt and red pants I thought it was cute because its me and Ross' favorite color (Ross yellow mine red) I put my hair up in a high ponytail then did my makeup to make me seem alive. I grabbed my phone to see Ross texted me
Ross: "hey laur"
me: hey Rossy
Ross: Rossy?
me: can I call you that?
Ross: yeah its cut
Ross: cute*
me: lol
Ross: damn autocorrect
me: gtg to school
Ross: bai
*school at lunch*
our cafeteria has a unique set up its kinda like the one from high school musical but smaller. me, Ross and lily sat on the second level with the plastics and the jocks you can tell lily was nervous
"lily we can move if you're uncomfortable" offers Ross
"no. its fine" she says
"laura can you come here?' says Gabrielle
" um OK" i said as I made my way towards her
"why don't you tell everyone your 'secret'" says Gabrielle
"secret what secret?" I question
"why you never touch anyone" she says evil like
"I'm germaphobic" I say nervously
"we all know you're not just tell us"
"I'm germaphobic" I say frustratedly
"maybe Ross can tell us" she looks over to him has his jaw drops
"I don't know..." Ross lies
"oh my goodness I'll just grab her hand and nothing will happen!!" as she grabs my hand and she falls to dust. I ran off crying and Ross and lily followed as peoples jaws dropped people fainted and other whispering
"laura!" yells lily but I ignored her and kept running
"laura!" she yells again
"laura why didn't you tell me!?" she yells as I turn around
"would you want people knowing!" I say in tears
"well no, Ross do you know?"
"yeah" he says quietly
"so you tell him and not me!"
"lily I would but. but. just nevermind" I run off
"laura! wait wouldn't Gabrielle come back?" asks ross
"well no my friend never did" I say
"what friend and remember my finger"
"a friend from when I was 4 and I don't know why your finger came back!" I say while still crying
"laura you'll be fine" lily says
"no I won't everyone knows my secret! there will be cameras and experiments and everyone will think of me as a monster"
"laura calm down" says Ross he starts tearing up
"Ross" I whisper
"just nevermind" and he runs off
"Ross!" I chase after him "ross" I say again "I don't wanna hurt you"
"I don't either but I care about you" he says with his eyes all watery
"OK love birds bigger problem" says lily
"what?" I question
"really um secret explaining?" she asks
"well I don't know how I got it nobody will tell me. I didn't tell you because you never questioned me"
