Casey's PoV

I agreed to go to Anthony's house to "study". I hopped into his car and buckled my seatbelt. Within seconds we sped off. What! We sped off, what about school? So I decided to ask him, "What about school?"

He looked over and grinned, "They let us out early."

Why? "Some kid set a classroom on fire. But don't worry, it was an accident."

I was relived when he said that it was an accident. I mean, wouldn't you be scared of your school was set on fire.

As we pulled into his driveway I noticed that he did live on the opposite side of town. I unbuckled my seatbelt and opened the door. When I tried to get out I fell falling flat on my face. I felt like my head was bring torn from my neck.

Anthony quickly ran over to me and said, "Sorry I forgot to tell you my car sits high up off the ground."

High? Last time I got out of his car it was like an inch or two.

It was like he was reading my thoughts and said, "Ya know, the first time you came hear was in a different car. Right?"

'No I did not'

I thought to myself and decided to just say, "Pshk, yeah."

He looked unconvinced.

We walked up the front porch stairs only to find the older woman who was there when I first came to Anthony's house. She looked up from her magazine and frowned, "Your supposed to be at school. Are you skipping? You do know I wouldn't send you if I didn't care? Where does she live? Take her back to school."

She asked. Anthony replied much slower than she did, "School is out early. We are not skipping. I know you care. She lives across town. And I can't take her to an empty school, can I?"

I giggled at how he answered all those questions without hesitation.

We headed into the house after he got the lady and me acquainted. Her name is Linda, and she is his mother.
