TW: Cutting (this won't affect the rest of the story)

Gavin had gone home that sunday night and passed out after a long day. Even though everything in his life was perfect, for some reason he felt like something was wrong. With the stress of what happened with Michael's dad, and his parents fighting all the time, it was very hard to feel happy. The only time he was happy was with Michael, but Michael wasn't with him all of the time, and that was hard. Even as he fell asleep that sunday night, he heard his parents going at it in a shouting match. Why did it have to be this way? He felt as though it was his fault, like he was messing everything up.

At school that day, Gavin was quiet. Michael noticed, but knew just to let him be. By the end of the day, Michael noticed that Gavin was still down and asked him about it. Michael only recieved a half-hearted reply of 'it's nothing.' Michael and Gavin parted ways and went to their seperate houses. Gavin called out to see if anyone was home. His parents were both still at work.

Gavin hadn't been this upset in awhile. He knew of only one way to numb the pain of everything around him. It had been years, but it was still so familiar. he pulled out a small razor blade from somewhere burried in a drawer. He drew it across his skin, creating beads of red blood. A tear fell down his cheek. He hated feeling this way.

He knew he had to tell Michael. He pulled out of his phone, only to see it already had a text from Michael. He read the illuminated screen that said 'hey Gavy you seemed pretty out of sorts today. I hope you are okay?'

Gavin typed 'Yeah I did something really stupid. Can you come over?'

Gavin waited anxiously. Ten minutes passed and still no reply. All of the sudden there was a knock at the door. Gavin leisured down the stairs and opened the door. An out of breath Michael was panting and as soon as the door opened, he pulled Gavin into a tight hug. "Gavin are you okay? Are you hurt? What's wrong?" Michael panted. "Did you just run here all the way from your house?" Gavin questioned. "My boy needed me, so I ran. What's up?" Gavin displayed his wrist to Michael, expecting to scare him off. Instead. Michael pulled him into another hug. Michael held him for a long time until Gavin was ready to talk. Gavin explained how he was feeling and Michael just listened. When Gavin was done, Michael had his turn to talk. "Gavin, if you are upset, don't hide that from me. I want to be there for you. If you are ever feeling sad I will go any length to get to you. Just tell me you need me and I will be right there to help you." Gavin nodded, the grabbed Michael's hand and pulled him upstairs for some snuggles. With Michael's help, he could get better.
