Chapter I.  Hulog Ka ng Langit Beybeh

Nothing about her was from this world. With that he was certain. He knew from the sight of her form that she came from the heavens, from the night sky to be specific. Her hair was a strip of darkness  falling gracefully in thin strands along her delicate shoulders down to her small waist. Her eyes sparkled like the stars and her skin shone like the moon. Yes. She was a piece of the night sky and he had never been this close to reaching for something from above.

What is she thinking about?. He wondered as he took a few steps towards the cliff  where she sat, arms hugging her legs and head looking down.

If you don't have to look up to find beauty, do you really look down all the time? He thought of using that as a pick up line. Too cheesy and a bit immature but perhaps enough to make her smile even just a little, but before his words came to action, something unexpected happened. She stood up then walked backwards until she there was no more ground beneath her feet. And she fell, without a sound and without a care about where she's headed, a wide stretch of deep and ice-cold lake water or a couple of rocks that could split her pretty head into ugly bits.

Suicide. It was the only thing he thought with what he saw but he couldn't do anything else for her but run towards her til the edge of the cliff and call out her name.

"BU AN!" He didn't jump to the rescue. He didn't know how to swim. Neither was he brave enough to dare try. He only called out to her, as if doing so will make her change her mind, or if she'll change her mind she would still have a chance to save herself.

There was only one thing left for him to do. He went down to the shore, hoping to find a dead body or, if fortunate, an extremely injured woman. On the other hand, she might actually survive miraculously, turn out to be a very good woman and he'd fell for her even though her perfect form had been wasted due to a suicide attempt. Even better, she might even keep her looks, and knowing from this event how weak her mindset was, he'd have a bigger chance with her.

"Bu An.." It was all that he could say. She saw her lying down and looking up. He could hear her talk clearly as if she was talking to people he couldn't see.

"I will definitely get my revenge. I will kill a God. And you shall let me take his place among you as I rightfully deserve."

               Beautiful women. He thought.
