"Mom, Dad, I'm gay." Ben stated softly to himself. He had been reciting that phrase for nearly an hour and still felt butterflies in his stomach with every word he spoke. Ben knew his parents wouldn't love him any less but the thought of uttering those controversial words made him feel sick to his stomach. His dad would probably be a bit disappointed and his mom might laugh it off but he knew he had loving parents that cared about his happiness over anything else.
Ben walked out into the kitchen where is mom and dad recited. Han was reading the weekly paper and his mother was knitting a scarf.
